Apparently, Roy Keane was spotted at the Southampton game (the penultimate home game), and had agreed to join as an assistant manager. This was when Lerner already had a buyer lined up, and the deal was relatively close. When the talks stalled, the appointment was 'postponed', so maybe his appointment means the takeover is back on?

Close friend to mine sits in directors and said last night the deal was all but done, just got to be put on paper and rumor has it should be done in 2 weeks assuming no holdups occur!

Hi VillaPope, are you referring about the takeover or Keane's appointment. And if the former, then any idea on who it may be?

The takeover, and no the name is being kept under tabs annoyingly, tried to get as much info as I could, but all that's being said is the deal has been verbally agreed, it could still fall through nothing is 100% until pen is put to paper and that may still take a while longer.
