I've now lost faith in villa's hierarchy completely, Hollis has been spouting crop about how in the last ten years we have spent the most in the premier league. Also stating "The cheque book has not been put away and if there is a player out there or a couple of players out there who we feel will fit in and really help the side in the Premier League or in the Championship". The mere inclusion of "the championship" highlights how no real money will be spent, possibly 10mil max, but not what we need. We are amongst the top 30 richest clubs, yet we compete poorly with the bottom 40%. 1 signing expected tomorrow, Kalinic. Both to be unveiled to the press Monday. Vidic is a no go.

I doubt we will sign anyone at all, Fox and Hollis have been told the towel has been thrown, and Lerner is the man who has thrown it! The puppets will just do as they're told and cream up their million pound salaries!

How are the fans supposed to cheer a team who have been told by their superiors that we are going down and they might be sold. These are businessmen who are disassociated from the fans and players. How is Remi supposed to manage this mess of a team. I mean for ****s sake they've basically said "we don't care anymore". The fans want us to stay up yet we have practically been told that we want to be promoted next season. HOW ABOUT NOT BEING RELEGATED AND NOT TAKE THE RISK.

I have just read the latest article via Mr Hollis and it leaves me feeling sick because I knew this it was coming! To suggest that the successful clubs in this country have not spent huge amounts is total rubbish who is this man trying to brainwash?! He is trying to tell us Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal, Man City ad Liverpool haven't spent millions! I don't like him already because very clearly he is insulting my intelligence and knowledge of the game. We have been operating on a shoe string and he knows it, what an absolute load of nonsense to even think that we shouldn't spend big right now - I am totally disgusted with what he has been told to say, what a yes man! Shame on you Hollis.

It is absolute nonsense. He suggests that Lerner has spent more money than most of the other clubs in the league. I'd love to know where that idea has come from. The past two Januaries the only two players I can remember coming in are Gil and Sylla, if he'd spent as much as Hollis thinks then I would surely remember more. And this crap about how much Lerner cares about the club is crap, he hasn't been here more than once a season, whereas every other owner can be spotted at least half of their teams matches. And he called the fans customers to their faces, I mean this isn't Tesco. Plus he talks of how the players will take wage cuts, but will Hollis and Fox? doubtful.

Mr Hollis was very clever which words he picked to make that statement however he said that we were only in the higher bracket for chairman making a personal investment. So everyone else who has spent more money than us has spent it from what the club already has or tv money etc, we've have spent Randys money, that is his point.
He however does not mention where exactly the TV money for the last 4/ 5 years has been spent.
