Watched the game yesterday, didn't play the best but winning when not on form is a good sign, few thoughts on the team:

Heaton - absolute worldie
Targett - brilliant going forward, lacks positioning at the back
Hourihane - set pieces on point as usual, not a brilliant option as a DM though, love it when he plays further up and makes them runs between the centre back and full back though, causes problems
Jota - technically brilliant but don't know if he's quick and physical enough for the prem, probably better suited down the middle, Carlos Gil mark 2
El ghazi - hope the injury isn't too bad, he's stepping up to the plate
Wesley - not a natural finisher IMO, brilliant physicality and decent with his feet just needs to learn when to lay it off a bit quicker instead of holding on to it
Grealish - the main man as usual, captaincy seems to have give him a leadership boost, not afraid to get in peoples faces, similar to JT

Buzzing for next week, think we need 2 more though, striker and winger. Maupay and Benrahma/ lolley/ Bowen would do for me.

Agree with you post Chris,
I personally do not think we are after maupay .
The papers are putting 2+2 together and thinking because he played under Smith we are after him.

Benrahma is the one that Smith wants more than anyone.
He called him a genius while at brentford and I am convinced he will sign for us.
I like Bowen and lilley but don't think we are after them.
I've got this feeling that Kent from liverpool for around the 8 mill mark is one we are after.

Seem him a few times but he is very inconsistent either very good or bone average.
Talk online saying we are getting a big record signing?
Not sure of that to be honest.
Interesting to see who we bring in.

I like Kent aswell mate, I read they want close to 20mil for him however. Best thing about him is he is both footed, and just as comfortable on either, you don’t get that anymore, so many players look awkward because they can’t or won’t use their weaker foot, I remember seeing Kent in a preseason game take a corner on the left side with his right foot and then from the following corner on the right side take it with his left foot.
