Nice to see we've got a bit of good luck after all, we very nearly signed sturridge but he stayed saying'he wanted to help bring champion's league football' to his club in Turkey, low and behold he has his contract terminated by mutual consent (yeah right) and gets a further 4 month ban for making bets! -God bless deano for being so kak at trying to persuade him to join! -I'd be inclined to make an approach for roy hodgson in the summer if he leaves palace and no-one else pops up for the vacant managers' job-got to be the worst kept secret in football that one!

{Ed001's Note - actually it was at his askance that the contract was terminated. He could have sat and collected his wages but didn't feel it fair to get paid when he couldn't play. And he was not banned for making bets, Sturridge does not gamble. He told his brother that he was in talks over a loan move to Sevilla and his brother put money on him joining them.}

Apologies Ed001 my mistake, but I still think we dodged a bullet not signing him, I don't think he can join any new club till the summertime now and I wouldn't be surprised if deano still wants to sign him! -but alls well that ends well, now let's see if deano can use sammatta to the best of his ability, you know, what with deano's nouse and shrewd tactical prowess, how can he go wrong.
By the way;yes Villadave I was way wide of the mark, I did that just to show EVEN I can balls it up (very regularly! ) lol.
