i know people are going to act like i'm a fool for asking this but why is everyone so desperate for sherwood back? as far as i remember he was the manager in charge when we got relegated and he hardly had a great win record. other than the fa cup run all i remember is the amount of abuse the bloke got for being "tactless tim"

now i understand that he had a shocking team at the time but i still don't see the thinking behind it.

I totally agree. We need a progressive manager, someone with a bit of vision.

Just a thought - Nigel Pearson?

On the face of it tactically he was clueless, so long term we would end up in the same position. However he wasn't too proud to change things and give different things ago, he always went for it and set us up to be on the front foot and he is most likely to hit the ground running same as last time. If we were to sack Bruce and there wasn't a manager at the time who jumps out as the proper candidate then I'd get sherwood on a 3 month rolling contract whilst we source a full time man. His passion, energy and commitment would get results from the offset, it's when all those things become the norm to the players and he has to rely on tactics an such that's when he begins to fail.

Gary monk would of done well had we gone for him.
