With the absence of the Jedi and Weelen looking as if his legs go after about an hour . Personly I'd give Lyden a shout on the bench, only chance the kid has had, was at RB . His natural position is defensive midfield, He likes to tackle, can pick out a pass and he has that Aussie never say die, about him . Surely he would be worth looking at, some young legs when Weelens have gone . Would be great, to eventually have a home grown midfield . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Lyden played centre mid against Middlesbrough in the cup. Doyle-Hayes has over taken him in the pecking order and if Whelan can't make Tuesday we will probably see Lansbury and Hourihane together in the middle.

Glen whelan has a 3 year deal at the club which amazes me consider his age what was Bruce thinking? If we do go up to the premier League we need a better manager most of his signing haven't worked out and let's be honest if you give the ball away like we do in the prem we will be thumped on a regular basis Bruce might get us up in the playoffs, but his record proves that he takes teams down his a championship manager at best. Bjarnsson whelen samba hogan bree and there's more his signing are crap. Only reason we will be up there is because of Kodjia.

All everybody does is moan about the players he brought last week was bjarnson other week lansbury now Whelan what's that saying about the manager? Did he buy any good players? Facts are Villa are crap without Kodjia a Rdm signing. Last game against forrest it was Kodjia who put on a plate for adoma it was Kodjia who won the Free kick for the goal.

Without him it would of been another awful performance. Whelan is on a 2 year contract, not 3 as you've spouted off

It was 2 years with the thinking that 1st year to get out of the Championship and the 2nd year to ease the transition back into the Premiership

Hourihane deffinately a hit. Terry had a slow start but is getting there. Same for Taylor. I. believe Hogan has just been unlucky. And kodja may have made the difference on Sat but he is still very greedy. We may score a lot more if he looks up.
