Over the many years of watching Villa, the best football iv seen Villa play, is when we move the ball fast . For this type of football you have to have young legs . To play this way you have to have players that move . Player that play the ball and move into space to receive it again . Not players, like we now have, who are static. with a young energetic team and the right coaching, we could create this again . I know it's all pie in the sky, but surely this is what we should be aiming for . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Hi Dd, so many have said the same thing for sometime.
No one runs off the ball to create space, they just use and stop.
Bruce is answerable for the present malaise, he looks for perfect football with imperfect players.

My gripe is that when someone runs through the other sides defence he looks a pratt because the quick through ball is now with our GK as the ball holder has failed to see the run.

At least we got the win today and JT may be back v soon so a bright spot may be round the corner
We cannot afford any more slip ups, neither can Bruce!

Disagree, players are always on the move and looking for it in space, saw it today, however normally the player on the ball is normally too scared to play the quick ball. They need to play more risky passes, stop being so worried about losing the ball and show a little more adventure.

Chris this all part of what I mean, good coaching . Allthe players have to be on the same wavelength, they all have to looking to move the ball forwards as quickly as possible. As you say at the moment, players are looking backwards with passes, because they can't see nothing moving . You watch all the top sides, they will play into a space knowing, a player will be there . But as I say all this has to come from the training ground. At the moment our play is to slow, as you say players receive the ball and play slows because they can't see a pas on . You also have to change the players mentality, as you say it's also a lot of it down to the fear of loosing, They don't want to be the next one to make a mistake .

Yea I agree with that Dave, just didn’t agree with the static bit you wrote, I think the players themselves are on the move but it’s always the one on the ball who let's us down, doesn’t play the early dangerous ball.
