The last 2 performances have been disappointing but I think we need to gain a little perspective. Villa are W7 D1 L1 in the last 9 games and yet Fulham are still the form team in the League, that was never going to be an easy game, even with a full strength squad. Likewise Preston are unbeaten in 17, you don't achieve that by being a pushover. If I'm totally honest if you offered me 2 points from both these games I'd have taken it but unfortunately injuries have played a major part, once again, in our season.

I think Bruce needs to inject some life into the first 11 this weekend, especially if both Grealish and Adomah are still absent - Personally I would like to see O'Hare given an opportunity but I think we can all accept that won't happen. Perhaps something like this for Wednesday?

Johnstone

Tuanzebe, Chester, Terry, Hutton

Bjarnason, Hourihane

Snodgrass, Lansbury, Grabban

Hogan

I think that would offer plenty of energy in the middle - Not sure what Onomah offers us, he has been hugely disappointing - Lansbury is surely a better option.

Agree about anomah he offers nothing
Houlinan scored a great goal against bluenoses but generally he is not offering much else,
Lansbury would be a decent shout along with o'hare but can't see Bruce playing him if I'm honest,
We are getting injurys galore now and that is worrying for me,
Hopefully we get another run started on Saturday,

Totally agree with you on Hourihane Mainbob, he offers us plenty of running and has a fantastic shot but I would expect a lot more in terms of dictating the play and tempo.

I remember Lansbury against us last season, he was unplayable, not sure what has happened this season but he would surely be a better option than Onomah at the moment.

I’d take that team Saturday, Jedinak was poor yesterday especially first half. O’hare should be atleast on the bench and so should Murphy, Davis offers us something else as a big man with good control and strength but misses too many chances, his finishing has cost us 3 points a few times this season.

You keep talking about O'Hare, but you named a team the other day with no O'Hare in it? Plus what did he do against Peterborough?

In the Peterborough game everyone was poor but o'hare was the best on offer.

As much as mainbob always goes on about him and I sometimes complain, O’hare was the only positive outlet in the Peterborough game and his form in the u23’s deserves a place in the team Saturday.
