Can't believe, the amount of moaning and complaining about new kit manufacturers, before we've even seen anything yet . Villa fan, local business, already manufactures his own fashion line, surely it's a wait and see. Hopefully they can make it at a more affordable price . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

If they make it more affordable that’s decent but the whole thing seems fishy.

Can I ask what seems fishy? Genuine question, not having a go :-)

I'm interested to see how the kits look and most importantly, how much they cost - If we can get early access to the kid and an affordable cost then surely that is a huge win, and if it looks good that's a bonus.

The price of kits are ridiculous these days, especially if buying for a family so I would expect these to be in a lower price bracket - Plus, fingers crossed we may get access to it early. Remember the Nike fiasco? Didn't get kits until September or something ridiculous.

I'd rather we take a gamble on this, try something different. I'm sure it would cost us very little to get out of any contracts if it doesn't work out and it has to be better than a generic copy and paste Adidas or Nike kit no?

It was rumoured to be Luke in conjunction with a large sports brand such as Nike, Adidas etc. However it’s luke and Fanatics, now from what ives found out fanatics are America’s version of sports direct and the most they make themselves is fan clothing for NFL teams, not actual kits. Seems very fishy, wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it’s simply the cheapest manufacturer so they can charge us the same price as every year but at much less cost to themselves. I hope I’m wrong and I will admit this is all very quick research so I could be wrong about some of this, the announcement said fanatics already do stuff to do with the running of the villa store, so I’m really struggling to see what they actually do and are bringing to the deal, seems a very fishy to me.

Loving this. A innovation in new kit wear why can't it be Luke? I love his gear makes some very nice tshirts and coats and a lifelong villa fan to boot can you really see a Villa fan who is renowned in clothing wear messing it up? . Very happy with this people moaning because it's not Adidas or puma who cares what we look like as long as we win in it. UTV.

Unfortunately kenn if everyone had that attitude the club would be run into the ground. I hope it’s all good but something seems very odd, at the end of the day the kit isn’t the problem, it’s the deal behind it and the whole press announcement that seem so murky, they haven’t really explained what’s what and why there’s two companies involved, you wouldn’t see Nike and Adidas making a kit together. If they was a bit more transparent with the whole deal so many fans wouldn’t be suspicious about it. So far the only definite positive is the design of the kit and the look will almost definitely be better than the Nike and Adidas designs.

Chris my attitude it that of a football fan not a business man.

To be honest my only concern is Aston Villa winning football matches.

IMO the good Dr and Keith Wyness have been nothing but exemplary with the way they have conducted themselves, especially with their passion for our club and taking us back to the premier league.

I’m not sure but I understand Fanatics have been involved with delivering kits to our club via under armour for the last couple of years, so what is the difference with LUKE .

Luke are a local business, one of our own . the club trust them to make it work so why can’t we the fans?

I’m a glass half full kind of guy, I always try to see the best of every situation . And IMO there is nothing fishy about the deal, it’s a business deal which the club believe is the best for Aston Villa .

So far during the dr’s tenure he has made some very good decisions, why would this one be any different?

It’s not unusual for there to be two companies involved with production “example being optical wear. guess sunglasses are not produced by guess, but Infact another company who then put the guess logo on the product which is then sold

Let’s just see what the next few weeks and months bring and go from there .

Very perceptive Kenn, it has to be a let's wait and see situation, well said mate.
