Lads, it pains me to say this but the more I think about it the more logical it is to sell Grealish - If, and only if, it is enough to cover us from a FFP perspective.

What are your thoughts? Is it worth selling our star player to ensure we can keep the remainder of the squad intact? I'm honestly torn.

We have a strong squad of highly paid, and previously highly rated players at our disposal - Why aren't they being used? If we could find a manager who can use the "squad" and develop our young talent then I honestly don't think we will be far off, even minus Grealish.

If we can be smart in the transfer market and use the loan system in an intelligent manner then we could be looking at a Squad of.

FIRST TEAM:

Dean Henderson (L)

Tuanzebe (L) / Chester/ Huth (F) / Knudsen (B)

Bjarnason

Hourihane/ Tom Davies (L)

O'Hare/ Kodjia/ Green

SECOND TEAM:

Steer

Bree/ Jedinak/ Rice (L) / Clarke

Whelan

Lansbury/ Lyden

Hepburn-Murphy/ Hogan/ Adomah

In a perfect world we don't sell Grealish and he leads us to the promised land but he is the only player that can really get us out of trouble without impacting the squad. This is redundant however if Bruce is in charge.

The more I see it selling grealish would be the best chance,
But it's heart breaking to see your best home talent being sold to satisfy ffp.
Losing the final has set us back years,
I do think we have good young players to blood into first team but as I've said many times Bruce is not the manager for bringing through the youngsters,
But Bruce will be here next season I'm sure of it,
I have not got a problem with that as long as he has learned from last year with his ultra defensive tactics
But there are many free and out of contract players available it's up to the scouting to get them,

I think selling Grealish means less of a squad overall - let's remember that this is a team, heavily driven by Grealish I admit, that missed out on promotion by a single goal. If we can maintain the core of the team and add a few shrewd signings, both loan and free, then we can be in the mix again but. Bruce is not the man to for this job, I see Oscar Garcia is a free agent, now there is a man who could instil a philosophy, almost to a fault. Basically the squad needs a fresh start, players like Hogan and Lansbury who are good Championship players have been in the wilderness for too long under Bruce, they could thrive under a new manager and save us money.

with all due respect i have read through a lot of these posts with Bruce out, let's look at it do you think terry came for the money, do you think Snodgrass came for the money, johnson and axel came for the money, no they came because of how the player looks at bruce or there managers looks at bruce, name me one player dean smith could pull our way.
