What about a quick poll [exit or remain] to show the new guys how the majority of us fans feel about the manager

{Ed033's Note -

Villa Manager Poll

1.) 23 Jul 2018

Interesting result so far:

Exit (33%, 13 votes)
Remain (67%, 26 votes)

If he does go, I can' see that replacing him with someone with no management experience (such as Henry) would be very helpful.

Democracy works, I acknowledge I am in the minority in wanting change. I for one will be happy to get behind the manager if change does not come, however Bruce needs to take a good hard look at the way football has changed, hoof ball is not acceptable no matter what the results say. Big Sam, Moyes mad Mick are all out of work because of their style of play. None of them were relegated yet fan power prevailed. So Steve if you want everyone to get behind you look at your style of play, it hasn't got us prompoted and it hasn't entertained, football is an entertainment business, it's not about your reputation as a so called experienced manager.

I don't get the argument that because we need stability Bruce should remain in charge. The simple facts are Bruce is a man manager, not a coach, and as a result may have an unsuitable squad for his skill set come the beginning of the season.

We need a manager that can improve our talented youngsters - And Bruce is not this manager.

Bring in Henry in a coaching/ development role (to get his badges) To have someone of his standing would bode well in tempting players to come to the Villa.

Just seen the Birmingham mail poll, much larger votes than this poll and the results are similar, so it's clear the majority want IBWT, this message will obviously get through to the new owners so perhaps they will give it time before making any changes, so open message to Steve, "if they want you to stay it doesn't mean some of us fans want the same style of play, if you are to stay grasp the chance and build a team around what many of us fans want, exciting entertaining football and to restore some pride back in the club we love"

39 votes?
Very difficult to draw a conclusion from such a tiny cross section.
I know it's a cross section but!8@?

I said keep Bruce because I honestly don't see better options for the squad we have.
We only have a few top passers of the ball and one of those is almost guaranteed to be leaving. This means that a tip tap game won't suit us, Kodjia will get isolated and frustrated.
Bruce tried to play 3 very attacking midfielders behind the front man every time he could. The main issues I saw were players dropping too deep, not trying hard enough to find space or just constantly playing the safe sideways/ backwards ball.
I blame coaches for not working on fitness levels enough but Bruce can only do so much to encourage the players to not play with fear.
