A decent result last night and a very welcome 3 points, well done Villa
I feel the dividing line between most of the sides in this division is very small, and I think it is only fair to point out that the stats and figures for the game last night show that we only had 1 more shot at goal than Rotherham, for all our possession.
Having said that, I feel that the line up was a lot closer to what is needed to mount a serious challenge for promotion, Tuanzebe for Jedders should help matters even more so.
I mentioned a few days ago that since McGinn arrived Bruce kept leaving out Hourihane, and that they should be played together, I honestly think tonight proved that point beyond doubt.
Teams are playing through us far too easily for comfort at the moment, if we can stop that I hope we can move forward.
I am worried that tonight is just a sticking plaster, and my feelings for Bruce are still the same and will remain that way, tactically nothing changed tonight, substitutions were made at the same time 70-73 minutes as usual, nine times out of ten we go wide, played on the floor through the middle is a rare event, although that should improve if the same team is selected so that understanding and confidence are given the chance to improve.
It was an small improvement last night, but I am in no doubt that Bruce is making these changes because of outside influences, and supporter opinion, and not because of his managerial prowess.

Still feel sorry for Thor, he’s the best defensive midfielder we have . he's got a great engine, non stop movement, gives us more mobility. He haven’t had that many chances in there, but every time he has, he’s never looked like letting us down . Personly I think he’s to good a player, to be pushed out . he's certainly more energetic and mobile, than either Weelen or the Jedi .
Onwards and Upwards Villaforever.
