By far and away the biggest problem at Villa, the fans. Self entitled, deluded, arrogant fans. I used to think it was a small minority but it's not. "The jobs to big for him", what 4 months in and the jobs to big for him, no preseason, one January transfer window and the jobs to big for him, what a mid table championship team is "too big for him", Jesus Christ. Atmosphere Saturday will be toxic no doubt, first miss placed pass or if we keep the ball along the back four for longer than 30 seconds and the boos will ring out, from there on out all the players will be scared to do anything and it's back to playing inside them selves. Is it a coincidence we started having a go on 80 minutes against Sheffield United? No, it's because 70% of the crowd had gone home and the players thought sod it, we aren't going to get any worse reception let's have a go. The two issues we have to overcome to get promoted from the position we are today, not in 1982, where we find ourselves as a mid table championship club in 2019, is overpaid players who see this as the pinnacle of their financial gain from their career, who are happy to stand still and accept a pay cheque with minimal effort, this is something Smith and the club will address in the summer. The second issue I think will hold us in this division for the foreseeable future, and that's the fans, dining out on past glories, "he's gorra go, he's gorra go" every single manager, look around, everyone else can see what we are, why can't you? The squad isn't that great, too many people think this is a video game and because they cost big money and get paid big money that their great, a clue. their not. And their not Dean Smiths players, fortunately I do think the new board and ownership aren't as thick as the last and won't bow down to the moronic majority that need to have their egos massaged at every turn. It's either have a look in the mirror, realise the situation we are in and accept it, or get comfortable because we'll be here for a very long time.

Yeah right the fans fault, he's had 20 games to improve and we haven't its simple i'd give 5 more and if we don't get anything out of them p45, every1 keeps on going on about patience how long do they want too give him 3yrs don't think so its a results buisness u don't get 2 / 3at a club now a yr tops them days are gone if was your buisness would you say oh its ok were not makeing any progress but he might if we give him time,20 games is easily enough in my view too stamp your vision on the team, the thing is if we keep on not performing he will get boot anyway the chairmen are wealthey men, i dean but the job is way too big for him managing brentford is different to managing villa, yes we are in the championship but by stature, history, fanbase, facilities were a prem club no matter what league we are in . we just need the right manager and right players we need hungary young players that want too play for our club.

4eva, you are again showing such negativity towards Dean Smith, it looks like you have made a point and you are not going to let it go.
Results have not been great we all know that, but everything is not lost just yet.
I have to point out to you that back on 6th January you stated and I quote: If we don’t go up or make the play offs “It is Not Deano`s fault”
You also said “it is next season that matters, this is Bruces team, and until its Deano`s team we cannot judge.
Those are your words mate, now look what you are posting 5 weeks down the line, and in that time losing only once to Wigan, again not great as I say.
I appreciate it is your opinion, but whichever way you look at it, that is impatient and intolerant.
5 weeks and you have turned your belief on its head, amazing.
I will say it again, it’s the players, they ain`t good enough.

That’s how you put your point across, structured so everyone can make sense of it, with evidence to back it up, not like a confused, angry child throwing his toys out the pram 4eva.

Im not angry child i'm sick of haveing 2nd rate managers at our club, yeah i did say 5 weeks ago maybe he should have till nxt season i changed my mind results have got worse, and tbf i wouldn't trust him building villa up that's my view the thing is we have sum tricky games comeing up so give him nxt 5 games and see if team can do better if not bye byes.

Ok villa dave, what is too look forward to nxt season mate, just say he is still in charge and were still not performing with new players, i just think the ships sank on smith in my view i'd give him 5 more games then if nothings changed get big sam in till end of season with job to get team in top six, with smith we are miles off, your telling me its all the players fault its abit of both look at man u players turned on jose 1of best managers in world and downed tools and now he's gone they start playing again, could u imagine us doing that in our jobs wed be fired;as for villa players they needs too be a massive clear out.

Villa4ever, as we keep saying, still Brucies team . When Deano first came in we had a run of good games, but they have shown, they aren’t good enough to keep it going . The loss of Jack and Axel, have made a big difference. Chester it’s a bad player, but it’s proved he needs a strong player with him. Taylor gets worse every game, to indisicive.
You can see how Deano wants to play, but Brucies players are not up to it . If we don’t go up, I won’t be that bothered . Give Deano the chance to get his own players in . When we do go up, I want it to be with a strong team, playing to a system that they all buy into .
We all want to be back where we belong, but let’s do it the right way . Wolves showed us last season, this is what we need . We have a load of players who are just not up to it, they would not cope in the premier . So let’s build a team that with a few addition when we go up, could survive.
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Not you Dave, I was talking about your post being structured, readable and backed up with evidence though, glad someone finally highlighted just how ridiculous some posters on here are, using their own posts against them.

And your giving him 5 games “if not it’s bye byes”, how important do you think you are, I don’t mean to bust your bubble but you have absolute 0 input into that decision and fortunately our owners aren’t absolutely mental morons like the last lot and Purslow understands football, there’s absolutely 0 chance smith gets sacked between now and the end of the season.

It`s all if, buts and supposition 4eva.
Last night proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the players we have are not up to it as a collective unit, watching the game proved it, everything is rushed.
Short of getting on the pitch, how can Smith get his ideas through to them, their passing, movement, technique, teamwork, are all missing, these are attributes most players should have in their so called lockers.
No mate I believe 50%-60% of our squad needs changing, and as we all know maybe Jacks fee will help fund any future plans Smith has in store for us.
Have some faith man, the bloke is a villa fan.
