Not sure what you lads think, but would it not be a good idea that
when loaning a player a price is agreed beforehand as to what the
the signing on fee should be if the player is signed after loan period.
Surely that would stop a lot of inflating the price if the player
improves and finds form.
Example being our very own Tyrone: 10 mil before, 25 mil after.

I think it’s very much dependant on the player Dave to be fair .

Bournemouth knew they had a real player on their hands, however they couldn’t get him fit and firing . Therefore 10 million represented a margin on their original outlay and given his injury record that would of been fine. however as he played so well and also injury free they have got much more .

From what I understand we tried to get a price for Mings before the loan but Bournemouth refused to settle on a price. we then came away with a matching option meaning we could have first choice if we wanted him. Effectively the best option available to us from Bournemouth.
