I am very surprised Charlie Austin is still a QPR player I expected him to move very early on.
Les Ferdinand has said QPR want his situation resolved as it is affecting their plans for the new season.
With that said why does TIm Sherwood not make a move for Austin.
Imagine a striker partnership of Gestede and Austin would not be the fastest but we would score a lot of goals and bring the likes of Grealish and co in the game.
For me Austin is a no brainer and although we have not been linked to him for a while now I just can't TIm Sherwood ignoring a proven English goal scorer available for around £12m

He's on 90k a week and refuses to reduce his wages.
He has a low conversion rate and we don't get a lot of chances anyway
And he still could be a one season wonder

Mattanson got to agree greedy Charlie Austin 90k a week 1 season in prem is not convincing although in a s*** team worse than villa last season which wasn't hard he scored,I say our midfield,strikers sorted,rudy rudy rudy will be a mass hit, I would concentrait on RB proven and a CB now and bring on the rest of season,let's be done with what we've got!! And we have power,creativity,pace not a long time we can say that can we ??

It looks like we are reading the same web pages. He is supposed to be exactly the same as Benteke, a third of the price. Might be what we need. Would still prefer Ade and Austin up front to start the season.

More like Austins agent wants 85,000. I say let him rot where he is then, there are plenty of other strikers who don't demand outrageous wages. After all what's he had a couple of decent seasons, it's not like he is a well proven top goal scorer. These players and agents get to far above themselves when it comes to wages and transfers. Let him play Championship football i say. !!

I would like Austin but see Slimani as the best option finacially, he is very similar to Benteke very strong great in the but also has good feet.
Kodak is more your target man lone striker where as we need a big man who can play in a strike partnership I think the possibility of Slimani & Ayew up fornt with Grealish tucked in behind would be exciting.

Sherwoods interested in Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon.
Slimani is a quality power house striker great in the air a very similar style striker to Benteke.
Slimani has a very good strike rate looks built for the Premier league & is 27 years old should be hitting his prime.
My only concern is we're getting linked to big strikers Adebayor, Slimani, Austin so where does that eave Kozak is that a sign TS wants to move him on as well?

Seen that we've been link with the lad from blackburn. Tbh we're linked with every other striker at the moment. but would be well piss off if we replace big ben with him.

Just researched this lad and seen that he has scored 45 goals in 47 games for Sporting Lisbon! Surely that means he'll get quite a few in the Premier League?

Apparently Sherwoods interested in Alassane Plea from Nice same club we got Amavi from.
Looks a good young player but I'm not sure he's ready for the Prem, 3 goals in 33 apps is pretty poor for a forward.

Diego Rolan looks a real top class player, apparently we've placed a bid but Bordeaux want 18m euro's.

Alright lads first post I'm a die hard Villain, might get laughter at for this but I really really don't want us to sign Adebayor.
He's very lazy not a team player & his best days are behind him, 100k P/W please please no!
I don't know if TS has considered this but what about Balotelli as part of the Benteke move even if just a loan as Liverpool have so many strikers now.
Balotelli is talented still young but just needs TS magic touch just a thought what do you guys think?

So you don't want Adebayor because he is lazy, not a team player and on high wages but you would take Balorelli? I wouldn't take either for those reasons but as Flackie says at least Adebayor has scored a few goals recently.
The only positives for Balotelli recently is the news that he throws £20 notes out of his car window for the public. I can see why that would be popular in Liverpool and I am sure he had many takers there but wouldn't go down so well in Four Oaks

I would love Abdennour he's a very solid CB but is also very good on the ball, the truth is we have next to no chance of getting him as he prefers a move to Italy.
On top of that will also expect Champions league football so i think it's fair to say Roma look like they are in pole position unless Barcelona step in and flex their muscles.

We have been linked to Destro a few weeks ago but not seen anything since,I would love AVFC to sign him huge talent will compliment our forward line perfectly.
I do believe there is something in this as Destro is looking to leave Roma and the arrival of Dzeko from Man City means its more than likely Destro will be on the move.
