Seems the 2 strikers we're scrambling after are afobe and that world famous striker from dresden, you know the one fellas, renowned throughout the world with his name on everyones' lips, forgotten it already, okay i'll remind you this time, but don't make a habit of it, yes its the world acclaimed haris duljevic-OH NOW YOU ALL REMEMBER! LOL!

Some reports tonight saying we're keeping an eye out just in case ulloa doesn't work out, depending on slimani joining newcastle, £5 million has been mentioned for nakhi wells, how true that figure i don't know, so should the question be, which of those two suits our style of play more, and i'm guessing nakhi wells, but who knows, we could gave another week of these shenanigans!

Classof82

1.) 24 Jan 2018 22:11:32
Ain't Palace in for Ulloa too? If I had the choice, I'd go for Vardy from all the Leicester strikers, if only so we get a low quote from his family to get the North Stand car park re-tarmacced?

UTV.

2.) 24 Jan 2018 22:26:48
So rumour is we’re looking at Slimani? Or Ulloa might fall through if Slimani goes to Newcastle? Can’t tell from that mate but I can’t see us getting Slimani in a million years, got to be fake.

3.) 24 Jan 2018 23:32:39
It says in local press that silami was subject of bids from Newcastle and one other. They won’t let Ulloa and the spicy sausage leave in same window. But the sausage wants to stay, so is not interested.
Just got the record. Vardy isn’t from pikey blood, his family couldn’t do the tarmac, he’s just a scum bag, and his family would take the cars parked there.

4.) 24 Jan 2018 23:53:42
what i meant Chris was that the barcodes want slimani, if he goes puel won't let ulloa leave as well, so as usual, nothing straight forward, that's why i'd go nakhi wells, if hogan has an injury, wells can step in almost like for like., though its being whispered about the forward from strasbourg on loan, his contract finishes in june, so figures in region of £50-100,000 being talked about, but i heard a little titbit that we were looking at bringing in a young striker from the irish league as a bit of a punt, last option stuff, but who knows anymore, maybe walkies can chat to his old opo keith wyness and let us know, and where's
Kingvilla?

19 Jan 2018 20:58:43
Have any of you boys and girls heard the absurd rumour that chelski are looking at gabby, it is the 1st of april, right?

17 Jan 2018 01:00:14
Friends in low places tell me the belgian fella is samuel bastien, apparently we've wanted him since 2015,reports say combative midfielder, scores from distance and is good with the ball at his feet, i thought we had lansbury for that, but there again, what the heck do i know, only thing in our favour is we can offer him first team football and allegedly more money (? ),

We're 5 games in and 4 points off the top, new players in and some have gone and/ or injured, we're not clicking yet, but so what, once we do, happy days, let's see if bruce can bring in any more on loan before some on here erect the 'get him out' banners, geez, get a grip boys,3 weeks ago we were for the high jump, so stop moaning, and remember 1 thing to cheer yourselves up, at least we haven't got a manager at the helm who goes by the name of steve mcclaren, lighten up fellas.

Classof82

1.) 26 Aug 2018 08:52:00
Totally agree, I do not see how you can blame any of the last 2 results on tactics we had something like 38 shots at goal over the last 2 games and we have been undone by bad refs. I don't agree with Jedi in defence but I think the kid from utd will play there once he gets a few games under his belt.

2.) 26 Aug 2018 12:04:28
Of course you can blame the tactics, there is nobody getting up to support or beyond Kodjia - The first time we did that yesterday we scored - We are also making silly mistakes at the back and conceding easy chances and goals, but we have a RB at RW, a CB at RB, a DMF at CB, and a RB at LB - You can't tell me Bruce is not to blame for this unnecessarily mackshift defence? The team is not playing as a unit as we have square pegs in round holes, that is Bruce's fault. Also, taking Kodjia off to be replaced by a LB at home to Reading when we were screaming out for another striker to kill the game baffles me, again tactics!

We have had the easiest run of fixtures we could ask for and have only taken 9 points, we have been in winning on a number of occasions this season and have managed to drop points! The fact that Bruce is still being defended baffles me, this is season 3 with him, we aren't 5 games in we are 70-80 and it's the same issues, week in week out!

24 Aug 2018 02:14:37
As said on here by a few, we are seriously undermanned defensively on the left hand side, suspensions and injuries could leave us seriously donald ducked.

Classof82

1.) 24 Aug 2018 06:03:33
I think Mr. Bruce is working on it, he only knew he was allowed to get players in a couple of weeks ago so I think he is doing remarkably well 😎😎.

21 Aug 2018 04:04:22
A couple of weeks ago when dr. xia was still the owner and we looked like the sky was caving in, some questioned whether bruce would stay, he did, and he persuaded the likes of grealish and others to keep the faith, and behold, we now have new owners, as for wrong formations etc, i think a big problem is that we have TOO MUCH choice, mad though that seems, when a squad is smaller its more settled, and it builds its own rythm, i think with so many players the choice causes bruce to sometimes play someone who may have been great in training during the week, but isn't in the groove on match day, hence no rythm or understanding sometimes, look at any squad that is winning and its consistently the same 7-9 players who make up the nucleus of the team barring injuries etc, so maybe loaning some players out doesn't make sense, but it may improve our consistency, let the pelters begin! -and by the way, we're 2 points off the lead, hardly end of the world territory, lighten up fellas, there's a long season ahead!

Classof82

1.) 21 Aug 2018 07:53:10
I agree we are only 2 points of the lead teams,
By the way Bolton are also with us at top end of table,
What I'm saying we could quite as easily be near the bottom given our luck in winning the 2 games.
I keep saying bruce gets my backing but it's wearing thinner by the week seeing the same inept performances and the same after games speech by bruce,
The Brentford game will tell us how far we have come.
They have played us off the park now for many games now and If we sit off them again we will lose the game in my opinion
Get stuck into them and I give villa a winning chance,

15 Aug 2018 00:55:15
Bearing in mind ffp still applies to us, i was wondering if it might be worth taking a punt on players who have been released, looking through the lists, i'd be tempted to offer pay-as-you-play deals to lloyd dyer, stephen quinn and wes houlahan, i know houly is 34 now, but he can still pick a pass and can unlock a defence as well, quinn is a no-nonsence midfielder who could do the same job as the jedi, and lloyd dyer is still pacy, can cross a ball, and can score a goal or 3,a damn sight more than albert seems unable to do now-i know loads on here will disagree, but they would bring experience, cunning and help the youngsters learn the ropes, AND they wouldn't cost an arm and a leg in salary.

Classof82

1.) 15 Aug 2018 14:19:02
Don't think that is approach the new owners want to take, seems to be raw, young, hungry, but talented is the future.

12 Aug 2018 05:27:53
So, there's a whisper we could be in for speedster on the wing and a striker, BUT if bjarnison is loaned out and a certain championship club comes in for adomah, then its going to get a bit nutty on the loans merry-go-round, one final whisper, kodjia apparently isn't happy and hoping previous suitors in the turkish league come in for him on loan-i say 'taxi for kodjia'-seems a fair swap!

Classof82

1.) 12 Aug 2018 09:10:20
Very pleased with result and a really great performance from mcginn who looks a great bargain,
I'm worried more about kodjia who looks to me not interested
Plus all 6 goals scored in 2 games none by a striker!
Also if de-laet is over his suspension he should come back .
He was the stand out performer in pre-season and deserves to be the replacement for Elmo,
C/ back position a worry . Chester is good but drop elfick when he scored against hull and I know he looked a little shaky at times I would still prefer him over Jedi at c/ back,
But 6 points you can't argue with,
And this mcginn looks a star in the making,
A real box to box player with great delivery and a goal threat,
Roll on Ipswich I say!

2.) 12 Aug 2018 23:55:56
Kodja drove me to distraction yesterday, whenever things didn't work out either a loose ball or lost possession he spent precious moments sulking and feeling sorry for himself! Luke Shaw for Man Utd had a rubbish first touch for his winning goal against Leicester but in a fraction of a moment latch onto score. Kodja needs focus and less feeling sorry or annoyed when things don't come off.

We can't afford to get on his back though because little options. Shame Green didn't have a better game after such a promising preseason. John McGinn did very well and deserved more from his deliveries into the box. Great start to the season without great performances! UTV.

Scotcaffu-i suspect the cups are where brucie will use them more, but let's be honest, grealish got his chance and grabbed it, the others have an air of entitlement, simlpy put, if they want it bad enough, then pull their fingers out and fight for it, because to me, their a lazy bunch of fecks on too much money too soon-and count to 10!

BK1982 and Malc1976-worthy replies boys, however, for such a rubbish manager (as you would say) he still managed to get us to the playoff final in his first full season, yes we've signed expensive players under him but you mob seem to forget the dirth of kak RDM signed-does richards and elphick give you 2 examples to begin with? next there was the vibe in the club, no-one had pride playing for the club, young jack was embarrassing the club abroad and the gabster was still about, trousering sheckles for past glorys', our chinese owner was clueless ('champions league in 5 years'! ), was a twit on twitter and was spending feck all of his own imaginary money on the club, as i'm sure your aware in the football world people knew this, and i guarantee brucey would name you at least 20 premiership players who he tried to sign, but they wouldn't because of how unstable badly run the club was, now we have new owners and we've brought in 2 attacking players and re-signed tuanzabe from united, its been pointed out we needed more defensive loans, MAYBE brucey is giving those already at the club their chance to step up this season, but because they haven't clicked yet you all hoot up, he can't win! make your minds up, have your say, right and all, but don't start using wolves as a yard stick, its a lot easier when you have a super agent getting players in on loan for a season or 2,most will have legged it to a bigger club by next season, and if you think their manager will stay to enjoy the cultural delights of wolverhampton adt car auctions and the local take on the balti, don't hold your breath, so cut brucey some slack, when he has a full squad playing week in, week out, then judge him, what he's done for this club behind the scenes never gets reported, but it shows what a class fella he is, how about we maintain a bit of class, AND BACK HIM AND THE BOYS.

And their off, as long as we don't over do the drama on the back of ONE GAME eh boys! -so bring a manager in, who do you suggest, once you've chosen him you think their present club are going roll over and say 'all yours'? -and what makes you think a young manager would want to come to a club that sacks a manager after a handfull of games? -and more to the point, the only type of young manager who'd come to us under those conditions would be the type of manager using us as a stepping stone, so give your heads a wobble, put down those sugary drinks and take a deep breath, the season didn't finish today and the world hasn't stopped turning, so go easy on brucey and your blood pressure boys, ITS ONLY 1 GAME.
