Brilliant win, hard place to go . Big Sam was outstanding, some of his saves where pure class . How he never got man of the match, I don't know . Thor also had a great game, some of his passing was realy good . Overall a great team performance, we can certainly grind results out now . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Great solid performance tonight . Terry showed, just how class he is, his reading of the game was brilliant . The whole defence looked realy on it . Hutton showed how he kept Teylor on the bench, good game again. Davis plays like seasoned pro, his hold up play is fantastic I know he scored a goal tonight, but I'm still not convinced by Snodgrass . Overall a good team performance, so let's keep it going. Roll on Saturday. Onwards&Upwards Villaforever
PS Villa 10
Brucie is playing people in form, that's why Hutton kept his place.

I think if we moved Snodgrass into the middle in a number 10, where Onomah is playing, we’d see why he’s got the record he has.

2.) 02 Nov 2017 08:05:53
Bang on dave Dean mate.

3.) 02 Nov 2017 20:13:08
Grealish has to play in that roll.

4.) 02 Nov 2017 23:00:56
Grealish is Number 10 for me, Snodgrass just makes the bench, sometimes I think chrisAVFC just likes to disagree.

5.) 03 Nov 2017 06:55:38
I replied before any comment about grealish saying I want to see Snodgrass in the number 10, then people started commenting about grealish in that position, I haven’t commented since. Give your head a wobble villajk.

6.) 03 Nov 2017 09:53:57
To me Grealish is good on the ball but lacks an end product and work rate. Snoddy works his socks off and his delivery into the box gives the forwards a chance - how many times have we seen Jack the lad run into blind alleys? too many, that means the pace of the game slows down and we lose possession. Grealish would also be behind Green for me.

7.) 03 Nov 2017 11:38:33
Average Jack waste of a shirt for me.

8.) 03 Nov 2017 12:39:15
Don’t disagree boys, you’ll get in trouble.

9.) 04 Nov 2017 13:39:43
I do prefer Snodgrass over grealish in the no. 10 role. But that being said, we are now playing as a core cohesive unit and it would be interesting to see Grealish play in a team that is getting it together. He hasn't had the opportunity to play in a descent team over the last 2 years.

Personly I'd play same side, against the noses, you can bet they will pack midfield . I think that midfield would be to strong for them, especially if we play them high up and climb all over them . We have to work hard close them down with nowhere to go . i'd also give Davis &OHare a good 30mins to finish them off . If Snodgrass isn't up for it, I'd give OHare a run out . O Hare looks for the ball, makes good runs and picks out a good pass and also isn't afraid to put a tackle in . So come on you Lions, show them who's the top Midlands team and shut them up . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 26 Oct 2017 01:44:59
Same team but swap Davis for the kod as he'll bully defenders like Morrison did for millwall last week.

19 Aug 2017 18:03:13
What a revelation Davis was, a forward that can actualy hold the ball up . The difference that made to our midfield, it aloud them to get forward . The biggest was Hoorihane
, he was like a differant player . Taylor and Green where great down the left, the one twos and making space for each other . A pity we aren't as strong down the right, Hutton got caught out that many times . When Gabby is fit again, I just hope Brucie dosent throw him back in . we have seen of Davis and O Hare, the kids have non stop movement and effort . Get them in, make room for them . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 19 Aug 2017 18:49:10
Loved Davis' hold up play today! Was like he had filled that missing link since Benteke left. Thought Bruce was spot on with sub for Hutton but there again my mom could have made that call. Houlihane was silky and movement great, excellent hatrick and Green's goal sublime. Even thought Lansbury was improved when he came on! Look forward to Bristol and Bruce keep the same team! VTID.

2.) 19 Aug 2017 22:40:48
Agree leave Gabby on a bench if he had played today, the resault would have been different.

3.) 20 Aug 2017 12:19:01
On a park's bench🤣.

4.) 20 Aug 2017 14:24:15
Safari park bench.

5.) 20 Aug 2017 15:33:39
As near too the lions as possible!

Anyone else heard the rumour, Mica to Forest. I do hope it's true . Onwards and Upwards, Villa forever.

1.) 27 Jul 2017 08:49:52
Not heard that rummor,
I as well hope it's true but wages are a big issue unless we pay more than half towards them,
You never know strange things happen in transfer windows with surprises galore.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 17:09:44
yes true lets, hope he can Gabby with him.

3.) 27 Jul 2017 17:33:26

PS
That was our main problem tonight, no energy . Against a side like Preston you have to match them .

20 Feb 2018 22:46:08
Rode our luck against a good, hard to beat side . Saying that we perhaps deserved something, on our last 20 mins . First half terrible, no closing down, sat off them allowing them to play . When Onomah first came, he looked strong, athletic and quite useful . Now he looks a big unfit lump, has not got a football brain . On the Pluss sidn Grabban had a great debut, looked calm and skilful . Once again Hutton was Mr concistancy, Defencivly and attacking, how about the two shots . Thor looked much better in the middle, makes some great runs in the box . Grabban looks the type of player, who would fit in and play anywhere . A little mention for our friends up the road, iv heard they where lucky it should have been more . Onwards and Upwards Villaforever.

I know it's not Villa, but well done Rochdale, a well deserved draw . Especialy after Dele diving Alli boughr another penalty .

1.) 19 Feb 2018 01:40:22
Weird situation, definite foul even though the player tried to pull out because he knew he was about to give away a foul, but then Alli’s pelican dive and roll made the refs mind up. Should of been a pen anyway the way I see it but the way Alli acts and it’s not just this incident is definitely distasteful.

We have had our share of keepers who can't kick, but the amount of goals Sam has saved, I'm sure we can forgive him that one . Axel had a great first start and it sounds as if Thor played his part . Today proved we need Green fit and playing, an ideal replacement for either Albert or Snoddy . Also what's happened to O Hare? Brucie didn't want to send him out on loan, So at least he should be warming the bench . Today we where in it first half, another couple of changes forced on us, then Fulham stepping it up, was to much . Got to get back on it for Preston, they had a good result today, so they will be up for it . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

17 Feb 2018 01:04:04
Very quiet at the club tonight, nobody mentioned football, well that was Untill I did . The noses where very downhearted, very unlike them . Somebody made a good point, Burton where a much better side than the noses . The noses where on of the worst sides we have had . The difference is the noses are and always will be a very lucky side, If you look at some of the high points in their season, the opposition have made some real Defencivly blunders . Look at last season, they stayed up by one goal difference . let's hope this is the season their luck runs out . What better season we could have, us promoted and the noses relegated . That would shut them up forever . Onwards&upwards Villaforever.

Nice to see were off the Mark, first one in . Mainbob from what they say, he's comfortable playing in a range of positions . Somebody like this could be realy useful over the rest of the season . He should certainly ad some power and energy where ever he plays . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Walkies for the first time ever, I agree with everything you have said . Albert is one on his own, Weelen had his best game for us and for his age Davis is outstanding . The way he holds that line on his own, is mature beyond his years . Start adding a few goals, for the compleat package . Leeds won't be looking forwards to playing us, as the home team the pressure will be on them . With the confidence we have gained over the last few games, We should give them a good game and come away with something . But we need to be up for it and at our best . So roll on Friday Onwards& Upwards Villaforever.

Brucie should think back to when, through injuries he was forced into playing Green . Now you can't say he played badly., same with Davis with even less experience came in and got everybody excited . surely O Hare has proved, time and again he has got to be worth o go . Same with Doyle Hayes every time we've seen him, he's never let anyone down or looked out of place . We are lucky to have a good crop of youngsters, so please let's not waste them . Nick i'm glad it was 2-0 simply because, at 1-0 in the bluenose fantasy world, they would have reckoned they should have won .

Agree wholeheartedly with you both . As you say something like a loss, brings it all into perspective . Condolences to Brucie and his family, let's hope the press give him some space and respect . Onwards& Upwards Villaforever.
