Just seen interview with Stan Petrov on official site. Tears in eyes. Inspirational man, Villa through and through. Would love to see him as part of the coaching team in some capacity.

True gentleman and embodied the Villa spirit. Fight hard but fight fair. We really should have given him a contract when he came back, he would have played for peanuts just to have that final chance which is testament to who he is.

I am not a betting man but if I was then my money would be on Henry. I think the new owners showed their class by giving Bruce a chance but now I think they are implementing their long term plan.

When Wes Edens took over the Milwaukee Bucks he appointed a new head coach, Jason Kidd, who had no experience but who had been a world beating player. I think Nas and Wes have the same in mind for the Villa. I do not think that they just want promotion. I think that they want to win the Premier League and the Champions League. They want to appoint someone with this potential. In Henry they could have the next Pep.

Anyway, if I am right then I am glad that a world beater is coming to the Villa. Championship titles in England, France and Spain. Golden Boots, European Championship medals, World Cup winner, European Player of the Year awards, media savvy, brand development potential, inspirational quality, ability to attract the world's best players and to improve them.

There is so much talk about 'experience' from tired old men. Surely Henry is a cut above. I would be very excited to give him a go.

A few months ago the Newcastle fan who manages my gym told me that Jack would be going. I didn't believe him. Then Dr. Tony's cash problems came out and I thought that Jack would definitely go - along with the whole club. To be at this point with Nas and Wes staring down Levy, with Jack, with McGinn, with 15 days to get loans in, with a realistic chance of winning the league. Who would have thought it? Amazing!

Also, why would anyone sign Carlos Sanchez? The Hammers have lost the plot. Only a matter of time before Snoddy returns.

You may be right but I wonder how your mate I need property could be a 100% reliable source?

I really hope that you are wrong. Would absolutely love Mellberg/ Laurson/ Petrov back at the Villa with Friedel as goalkeeping coach but the most important appointment is head coach. Moyes is a backward step! If the idea was to make us Villa through and through then Mark Delaney is the stand out choice. Then the Villa legend backroom staff would mean something.

Malcolm was pretty much on the money.

First time post but read all the time. In 1991 Cyrille scored the first goal that I ever witnessed at Villa Park. From that moment I was hooked. 26 years of downs and downs since but I will never forget that moment of magic!
