Mbaye Diagne not playing or on the bench tonight for Galatasaray.
Hhhnmmmm. I wonder?

Douglas Luiz, gets his work permit.

Villadave

1.) 07 Aug 2019 10:47:19
I am really looking forward to seeing this guy play .

He could actually be out talisman that’s if we can get him to stick around long enough .

He is so highly rated it’s untrue.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 15:19:13
And me kenn, every bit of footage I have seen on him he seems to be a very clever and attack minded player, and does a lot of damage in the final third.
I am beginning to struggle on what our team will look like, such a lot of potential and availability.
How can you possibly keep the squad happy other than a rotation system.

06 Aug 2019 16:49:01
We are being liked to Mbaye Diagne of Galatasary.
11 Million being quoted.

Villadave

1.) 06 Aug 2019 21:26:17
this guy has some goalscoring record. older than smiths usual player choices. would be good addition.

2.) 06 Aug 2019 21:41:43
Very similar to Wesley, surely we need something different.

3.) 06 Aug 2019 23:27:34
Who do you think then Chris? Because every striker that’s mentioned in your opinion is too similar to Wesley.

4.) 07 Aug 2019 08:26:14
No mate, just this one, name me another that I’ve said is too similar to Wesley?

5.) 07 Aug 2019 09:11:44
Jean Kevin Augustin.

Just out of interest who do you think we need?
I would take a punt on Sturridge, someone who can finish instinctively, doesn’t do much else but when the balls in the box comes alive.

6.) 07 Aug 2019 09:23:55
Fair enough😂 I just think we need a finisher, sounds stupid but Michael Owen type before he got crocked, quick, nippy, can get in behind and at home in the box, I would have loved Maupay but that ships sailed. I see Watford still can’t agree a fee for Sarr, he’s can play both positions winger and striker, goal scoring record isn’t there but some players suit premier league better. Glad I’m not the one who’s got to find one, going to be a busy two days.

7.) 07 Aug 2019 09:45:26
I’m trying to think of some speedy natural finishers who we could realistically get

Struggling to be honest
The lad that Everton signedwould of been ideal Moises kean.

8.) 07 Aug 2019 10:58:48
I’m not sure about Diagne to be honest .

Scoring record is amazing

However looking on the bible that it you tube 😂 he doesn’t look great and link up play and bringing others into the game .

I would prefer Augustine to be honest but who am I 🤪

One thing for sure is deano is creating a team that can score goals from front to back so I’m not worried if we don’t get another striker.

9.) 07 Aug 2019 12:02:04
Yea that’s the type I was thinking of, quick nippy natural finisher, god knows who, Mbappe? 😂.

04 Aug 2019 20:12:35
I have just been reading it looks like Benrahma will be joining us.
Maupay is reported to be having a medical at Brighton.
I hope the Benrahma deal goes through quickly so we can concentrate on another striker.
Happy days.

1.) 04 Aug 2019 21:00:00
Dave really hope you aren't a clone of kingy.

2.) 04 Aug 2019 21:37:21
Kingy reports BS, this is all over the papers scottcafu, it’s a bit different.

Looks like we’re getting the winger we both wanted Dave, now if we agree on a striker does that mean they’ll go and get him haha?

3.) 04 Aug 2019 21:42:04
Kingy, Hahaha, I love it scotty.
Also just noted on sky, Brentford close to signing a French winger come A/ M.
So maybe a pointer there.
Fingers and legs crossed.

4.) 04 Aug 2019 22:56:11
Chris as long as it ain't terrible tekkers.

5.) 05 Aug 2019 08:18:38
😂😂😂 come on give Big Ben one last chime.

I thought Wesley was excellent tonight, scored One and had a big say in the second.
Keep it up Wesley you will only improve my friend.
Believe in yourself and believe in your Manager.

Elmo has signed a new deal, 2 years I think.

Villadave

{Ed001's Note - yes 2.}

1.) 22 Aug 2019 22:26:09
Its a 1 year contract extention.

19 Aug 2019 17:06:34
Davedean, thanks for your reply lower down mate.
That makes you about 75 then young man, beat me, I wade in at 70.
Starting to creak a bit now though, hahaha.

1.) 19 Aug 2019 17:35:02
Certainly no fun getting old Dave . when I go to the club, on a Friday, it’s more like a Drs waiting room HaHa . What with bad backs, dodgy knees and one or two with dodgy tickers .
Walkies and some of these others on here, should chill a bit,
& think how lucky they are .
Saying that haven’t seen anything off Bob for quite a bit . Hope he’s keeping well .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

2.) 19 Aug 2019 18:37:38
Come to mention it Dave your right, if you are reading bob give us a thumbs up mate, just to let us know if you and your good lady are ok.

3.) 21 Aug 2019 09:40:06
I'm alive mates and my missus is like me, living from day to day.
Nice to hear comments on here which touches my heart.
Hope you all are well and your family's.
I have not posted as much as I used to mainly down to feeling unwell but I'm still here supporting the best team in the land with the best supporters alike.
To many fans are panicking to early on our 2 losses but I can see more positivs than negatives.

We are creating chances but not taking them.
We are making silly errors which have cost us .
Everton a hard game Friday but we will win a game sooner than later and I'm predicting a 1-0 win.
So I say to all on here get behind the team and the manager and staff we will get better mark my words.
Up the 🦁🦁🦁.

18 Aug 2019 19:26:33
Ed, some of my posts not showing mate, any reason, or is it technical.

Villadave

{Ed033's Note - This is your 3rd post today is that correct?

1.) 18 Aug 2019 20:35:29
Dave's, like me you are passionate loyal fans that have done a "life sentence" in terms of time following our beloved team. I hear your frustrations about the negatively shown by the impatient few on here. Fans want instant success and moan as soon as there is any sign of adversity. I think we all have to understand that we spend a lot of money following our team, watching managers and players that have "won the lottery"financially and there are times that we should be able to get things of our chest. We all started the season with a clean sheet of paper, we spent £130 million and expectations were high, after all we are Aston Villa who won ten games on the trot. However we look at the league table today"early days"I fully accept however of the three who were promoted only one team had not won a game and got no points, so the pessemists have the amunition to complain, not fair I agree however the facts are there for all to see, maximum spend no return to date. So I am still and will remain in the half full glass camp but let the doubters have their say and hopefully very soon we can gag them.

2.) 18 Aug 2019 20:38:52
Thank you Ed, the post has just shown in reply to Davedean.

3.) 18 Aug 2019 21:37:02
I know scotty, problem is mate, our expectations are through the roof to start with, and we create all of this ourselves.
Most newly assembled things take time before they start to work efficiently.
That is all Deano, and the club ask for, Time.

4.) 18 Aug 2019 21:48:36
Dave sadly in football time is a very rare commodity.

17 Aug 2019 22:16:32
I still think our defence should be
Guilbert
Engels
Mings
Targett
With Nakamba sitting in front of them as D/ M.

Villadave

1.) 18 Aug 2019 00:59:45
Dave we all like and respect Deano, however he seems to be the only one that can't see what a lot of the faithful see in terms of our defensive line up, I really hope he changes his position soon, otherwise he will start to get some flack if results don't go our way. Of course we all want the same thing however we are not the most patient of fans and unrest will quickly kick in if results don't improve if he sticks to the current defensive line up.

2.) 18 Aug 2019 19:12:38
I may get shot down in flames but for me we should need to be a little tighter in the centre of the park

I also think Anwar hasn’t really shown his potential this far

I agree with deano’s 4-2-3-1 just not the personal on the pitch

For me I would go

Heaton

Guilbert. Engels. Mings. Targett

Luiz. Nakamba/ Hourihane

Trezeguet. McGinn. Grealish

Wesley

The front three although in a position are all very interchangeable and could almost have free roles

El Ghazi
Jota
Kodjia
Very capable substitutes.

3.) 18 Aug 2019 19:35:48
Hi kenn, its the same personnel as I posted on the 13th mate, different formation but hey what the hell.
So I have to agree kenn.

4.) 18 Aug 2019 20:46:26
Great minds Dave 👍

TBH I have had to take a sabbatical due to the knives being sharpened by some so called villa fans

Back now posting as I couldn’t stay away . Just won’t comment on the bull 💩 posts I see on here 😂.

5.) 18 Aug 2019 21:30:42
Keep posting kenn I enjoy your logic and remarks, I and a few others on here need the support mate.
Its a shame but common sense is missing from life in general nowadays, to be honest I find it comical more than critical what some people post, then my disbelief gets the better of me hence the somewhat sarcastic replies.

Blimey kingy I think every media source in the land is talking about us getting Benrahma, do you really think we believe you are in the know when you state common knowledge.
When you say bb I take it you mean Bjarnason, where is he supposed to be going to.

Nothing being said about him at all kingy, having said that he would be a great signing.
If we are prepared to spend 25 - 30 mil, he would definitely be a marquee signing for sure.
If his name gets mentioned with us in the next 12 hours or so, I will be a very happy bunny.

Not so sure about Jack rk, thought he was poor tonight, to deep at times and needs to speed things up a bit and release the ball a bit sooner.

Like I have said its us and the press who are at fault.
Because we are Aston Villa means jack rubbish.
Never take anything for granted, we are 11 men called Aston Villa.
I refuse to talk about us going down, I have no doubt at all that we will have a good season, obviously with some ups and downs.
We will overcome and grow, give it time.

While I can agree with you in part, I have to say along with the press, we are the people putting him under pressure with our impatience and unrealistic expectations.
I do think he needs to toughen up a bit, stay on his feet, and use his physique a bit more.
I say leave him alone, he will improve.

I certainly do remember scotty.
Another that springs to mind although not a villa player was Didier Drogba, took ages to settle.
