Confirmed, Grabbon signs.

Villadave

31 Jan 2018 18:06:25
Deal agreed for Grabban.
Season loan.

Villadave

1.) 31 Jan 2018 18:37:55
12 goals in a poor Sunderland side, good addition, something different off the bench.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 19:02:15
I would go 442 now.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 19:23:39
I can’t find the deal done anywhere. are you sure?

4.) 31 Jan 2018 19:34:38
I have said deal agreed Flackie, on sky sports.

5.) 31 Jan 2018 19:52:52
It is listed at 16.36 at the transfer centre.

6.) 31 Jan 2018 20:05:22
Ive herd rumour defoe has been seen in birmingham this evening.

7.) 31 Jan 2018 20:50:10
Dave I see that now, thank you!
But I’m assuming it’s not gone through as not anywhere else?

8.) 31 Jan 2018 21:09:41
Everyone reported done earlier, Birmingham Mail, sky, Alan Nixon, but then BBC WM at the same time tweeted saying they’d been told the deal isn’t close to being done, weird one.

9.) 01 Feb 2018 09:14:21
Grabban looks a ok signing,
He is a journey man with so many clubs but we could be his team to get him to settle
Some reading up on him seems me to think he could have a attitude problem but we will wait and see on that,
But he scores goals at end of day and that's why we got him
No better time to start than against Burton on Saturday,

Just a rumour,
Villa have been contacted by Shamrock Rovers for Kevin Toner.
Shamrock have held talks about a possible deal for the 21-year-old defender.
He is currently on a season-long loan with Stevenage.
And his contract is up at Villa Park at the end of the season.

Villadave

1.) 21 Nov 2017 23:30:47
Barely makes the Stevenage team and was awful both loan spells he had last term, get rid.

2.) 22 Nov 2017 20:36:39
Could be left back cover though? Would like to see Borg given a try though

UTV.

4.) 21 Apr 2017 12:17:16
Was a loyal villain an great defender for us and probably should of represented his country more than 4 times. RIP big man.

Flackie, got to ask you mate.
I am not on about club stability now or if you like Mr Bruce as a man,
Are you happy with our performances and progress as a team under the guidance of Bruce and his staff.

Villadave

1.) 20 Sep 2018 20:05:55
From when Dave?
In comparison to the shambles the club was in when he came, I think we are a million miles better.

And no, I think we are not great entertainment to watch. and I’ve also said, on here, recently that I think Bruce has ran his race. but that isn’t the issue Dave.

The issue is the fact, every post, every thread, every single comment, (from a select few) and some answer their own posts, or post ten times to make one comment are saying the same fact.
It’s boring, it’s tedious, and it has totally ruined this forum.

Some of us, you and me included, have been here years, not many left. These people who leave, don’t stop being hills fans, or supporters, they don’t come here as can’t get a word in edge ways, or give an opinion, with out it getting shouted over by certain addictive posters.

It’s not fun anymore, it’s not a place for villans, it’s a shouting contest.

2.) 20 Sep 2018 21:00:06
Hills fans?! Wtf
Meant villa fans obviously.

3.) 20 Sep 2018 21:59:35
Thanks for your reply Flackie.
We are in a better place as a club, but that is not what I was referring too.
Not to worry we got there in the end, so I take it you would replace him if you could?
The rest of your post I have to agree with in principle, and yes it can become predictable and tiresome.
To be honest I let things like that go over my head unless it is personal, then I will bite back.
Like you say we have been on here some years now and I have to admit it has lost a lot of the fun element which is a great shame.
Anyway, I am pleased you are back mate, and hope we can celebrate come the end of the season.

4.) 20 Sep 2018 22:10:38
Yeah, I think he should leave, but I think the lack of respect we as fans are showing him, after the way he stopped us falling in to oblivion is a disgrace.

5.) 20 Sep 2018 22:56:07
Respect is a graduated emotion, and is given in different ways.
I respect Bruce immensely as a pro and as a person, but I have realised that he is very limited as a manager and relies on old heads, old legs and so called experience.
I think you or I could manage a football team using those ingredients, so that’s where my respect ends and becomes frustration because us fans see the flaws that he has.
Must say he was a good defender and is a nice bloke too boot, it’s a shame but the club comes first.

6.) 20 Sep 2018 23:23:18
Flackie, as Iv said before, whether you love Brucie or hate him, the position we have been in, we could not afford to replace him . We were near to oblivion, and Brucie rescued it and with a bit more luck and better decisions we could of gone up . When you reach the point of players, paying for their own food, you know we are in trouble . I agree Brucie, doesn’t seem to see that tactics need changing . But now with the talent we have, perhaps he will be forced into it . The man has made mistakes, but financially we haven’t been in a place to do anything about it .
Nice to see you back on .
Onwards and Upwards Villaforever.

7.) 21 Sep 2018 07:16:08
I think we are all saying the same thing, his time has gone, but he should leave with our thanks, with us as fans using our brains and seeing what he did for the club, rather than with us all giving him the finger.
With all he went through personally last year, (and I do agree that Bruce the man, and Bruce the football manager are two separate entities) the loyalty, decorum and respect he has shown to the club, should be shown back at him.

I do think he should leave, and I think it should be sooner rather than later, but in the right way. We need to hold our heads high, and look our selves in the eye.

A decent result last night and a very welcome 3 points, well done Villa
I feel the dividing line between most of the sides in this division is very small, and I think it is only fair to point out that the stats and figures for the game last night show that we only had 1 more shot at goal than Rotherham, for all our possession.
Having said that, I feel that the line up was a lot closer to what is needed to mount a serious challenge for promotion, Tuanzebe for Jedders should help matters even more so.
I mentioned a few days ago that since McGinn arrived Bruce kept leaving out Hourihane, and that they should be played together, I honestly think tonight proved that point beyond doubt.
Teams are playing through us far too easily for comfort at the moment, if we can stop that I hope we can move forward.
I am worried that tonight is just a sticking plaster, and my feelings for Bruce are still the same and will remain that way, tactically nothing changed tonight, substitutions were made at the same time 70-73 minutes as usual, nine times out of ten we go wide, played on the floor through the middle is a rare event, although that should improve if the same team is selected so that understanding and confidence are given the chance to improve.
It was an small improvement last night, but I am in no doubt that Bruce is making these changes because of outside influences, and supporter opinion, and not because of his managerial prowess.

Still feel sorry for Thor, he’s the best defensive midfielder we have . he's got a great engine, non stop movement, gives us more mobility. He haven’t had that many chances in there, but every time he has, he’s never looked like letting us down . Personly I think he’s to good a player, to be pushed out . he's certainly more energetic and mobile, than either Weelen or the Jedi .

While Bruce is manager of our club this type of discussion will continue week in week out, the team was again set up all wrong yesterday,
Yesterday Bruce proved to me beyond any doubt that he is not the right fit for our club, and needs to be replaced.
Flackie pointed out he felt the team was better balanced, and I have to agree I think it was, players in their correct positions does help, just the wrong players.
When I saw the team sheet yesterday my heart sunk which I posted as soon as I read it, this guy never fails to amaze me, since we bought McGinn, he keeps leaving Hourihane out, why, they need to play together.
I honestly think if we had played Kodjia, El Ghazi, Bolasie, Hourihanie, and Bjarnason from the start we would have won that game yesterday.
I would have left out Grealish, Adomah, Elmohamady, Jedinak, and Taylor.
Grealish is looking tired, too much is being expected of him, and I think he will never improve his game under Bruce, he is a flair player and needs to be coached by a more stylish manager, You should never know what a player like Grealish is going to do next, but for some reason you always do, his approach to any game is always the same, and sometimes looks very laboured, he needs to wake up when nearer the box, chances go begging at times when it looks easier to have a go, I think he needs to be rested, your place should never be guaranteed, no matter who you are.
At long last we now have some talent in forward positions, so I urge you, while you are still hear Mr Bruce to use them as they should be used, you are never too old to learn from your mistakes, and let`s face it he has made many.
I live in a village down south, trust me they do not like change, and for that reason they are stuck in the past, talking to an old fella a couple of years ago about Manchester, Manchester he said, yes you know Manchester I said, I have heard of it he said but not sure where it is? Every word is true.
The point being Mr Bruce, you have to change, and now, if not Go ASAP, Please.

Villadave

1.) 16 Sep 2018 17:21:57
Taylor played ok to be fair we need to pick 11 players and stick with them let them gel
Nyland
Hutton Chester tuanzebe Taylor
Jedinak or bjornson

El ghazi hourihane mcgin bolasie
Abraham
Although I'd like to see 2 up top too drop the DM and add kodja.

2.) 17 Sep 2018 07:27:21
Good points Dave,
But to expect Bruce to change the way his team's play will not happen.
He must go sooner than later,
We are stagnating under this regime.
We need a new younger approach,
But the thing that bothers me is this new C/ E,
Does he speak?
You would expect a new C/ E to outline his strategy and relate this to the fans,
Or is he a silent assassin!

3.) 17 Sep 2018 13:31:34
The new C/ E concerns me about as much as the full ash tray in the smoking area of my local pub. 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣.

4.) 17 Sep 2018 14:54:22
Don't forget he makes the appointments of next manager,
When at Liverpool he brought in hodgson!
Hardly not a great appointment,
So not to hear from him worries,
Next to the owners he makes the big decisions at the club.

15 Sep 2018 16:55:24
The mans a bloody person.
Picking a team like that with what he has available is shameful, Bruce is scared to death to try something different.
I have had it with him.

Villadave

1.) 15 Sep 2018 17:09:42
Today is D day for him if he gets it wrong it's bye bye on that team he's picked the bench looks stronger than the one on the pitch I don't understand this selection.

2.) 15 Sep 2018 17:44:56
The only plus to it is, at least it is balanced, and square pegs are in square holes.

3.) 15 Sep 2018 18:25:41
Not impressed with the first half performance
No chances being created.
Hit and hope,
Must do much better in 2nd half,
At the moment I can see only 1 winner and villa it ain't!
Why was el gazia dropped to the bench after scoring last week?
These are the things that's annoys me with Bruce,

4.) 15 Sep 2018 18:36:15
Same bob abrahams plays better in a 2 upfront , he looks lost on his own and elmo is useless hasn't put in any decent crosses, jedi is slow where thor gone and adoamoh lost a yard.

5.) 15 Sep 2018 19:42:54
Well we draw again?
What I will say is that if we drop points in next 2 home games then Bruce should go full stop.
If we can't get max points against Rotherham and sheff wed then I'm afraid we are going nowhere fast,
Sorry to be negative after getting a point away,
Feel free villa fans to slaughter me on my observations on Bruce's plight,

6.) 15 Sep 2018 19:45:27
We have a More than enough good team of players to win this league,
It's the manager and his backroom staff who are holding us back,

08 Sep 2018 14:16:09
I see another one of your statements are way off target again kingy, this time it`s John Terry.
You said you were told Tues or Wed and it will all be done, shame your contacts aren`t Russian mate.
He is off to where the putting greens are covered in ice, and the Yaks and Yeti`s run wild.
Never mind, keep them coming mate, I still enjoy the funny side of it.

Villadave

1.) 08 Sep 2018 18:39:26
When I see him in a shirt of any description I will believe it.
Until then we are still in the pot.

I would not entirely dismiss this rumour at all.
John Terry could possibly be behind it, if true, that is only a thought.
Stanger things have happened, and I tend to agree with Kingy on this.
If true do the deal, it could be a good starting point, on the road back.

Woody, it was all tongue in cheek mate, I quite like reading Bobs posts and yep it is good to read something different, and no there is nothing wrong with it at all.
If you have read my posts in the past you will see I am a defender of opinions and also I hate name calling and slagging off because of what someone has posted.
By the way they have got the road up round the corner where I live, it took two hours to dig three feet, crazy really because they only filled it back up again.
