Just heard Ugo Ehiogu has had suspected heart attack at spuds training ground today.

1.) 21 Apr 2017 09:43:08
RIP big man. Sad news.

2.) 21 Apr 2017 10:35:41
Holte Ender in the sky.

3.) 21 Apr 2017 10:36:35

4.) 21 Apr 2017 12:17:16
Was a loyal villain an great defender for us and probably should of represented his country more than 4 times. RIP big man.

31 Jan 2017 15:28:32
Scott Hogan agrees personal terms, medical passed, should be completed soon.

29 Jan 2017 20:28:05
Tish gone to Forest on loan.

27 Jan 2017 12:21:55
If the rumour is true about Grealish, let him go.
The guy is too slow, overthinks everything, and while he is thinking teams are back in position, then he gives the dam ball away, he is just not direct enough.
To be honest I have never really rated him anyway, so give him his big money move (ready for the pun) and he can "laugh" all the way to the bank.
Rhodes could be involved in the deal if true !

1.) 27 Jan 2017 12:47:34
Jack Should stay will be a star

2.) 27 Jan 2017 13:36:45
If it was a choice between keeping Grealish or selling him and landing Rhodes and Gradel I would go with the latter (just)
On one hand it would be interesting to see if Jack can take the step up now that we have, on paper, a much stronger side. On the other hand, a pacy left-sided player and a fox in the box type striker, added to what we already have, could see us in the play offs this season

3.) 27 Jan 2017 15:13:35
Can see why we'd sell but if we did can see it being the same as Cahill, they go onto bigger and better things and we sit here saying "he's another one we shouldn't have let go", his still young, get good players around him and he performs.

4.) 27 Jan 2017 16:10:07
Grealish is by far the best player on the ball in the squad. He just needs to start trusting his team mates or he needs better team mate and this has just happened.

I am very interested to see him interact with Lansbury and Hourihan.

5.) 27 Jan 2017 16:56:39
I agree Prob. I think he will be a better player with better players around him
In an ideal world we keep him but still buy Rhodes and Gradel.

6.) 27 Jan 2017 17:37:50
Defo agree we can't sell jack anyway rhodes ain't anygood anyway what is he 4th choice in a struggling boro team

06 Jan 2017 19:43:21
Villa want Delph back, just out.

1.) 06 Jan 2017 22:33:16
I heard. I'd rather cut my right nut off than have that piece of filth back at our club. Cockroache scumbag

{Ed025's Note - not a big fan then i take it irish.. :)

2.) 06 Jan 2017 23:13:28
Agree sould never have Delph back.

3.) 06 Jan 2017 23:18:45
Let's just say he's not on my christmas card list.

4.) 07 Jan 2017 00:26:42
I imagine he would probably suffer severe permanent psychological damage from the amount of stick he would get off the crowd - might hamper his performance.

5.) 07 Jan 2017 00:46:27
After his name is announced and his first couple of touches, no one would give him stick anymore as long as we was winning. We lose a few tho and he would be back to the snake getting boo'd every touch

6.) 07 Jan 2017 08:31:39
Is Bruce winding up the villa fans?
First he praises gabby now he would like delph back?
He is going the right way to get fans on his back if true.
Must be bollocks ain't it?

7.) 07 Jan 2017 10:22:44
Not happening. Villa vehimently denied it, just more lazy journalism.

8.) 07 Jan 2017 13:32:52
I would have delph back as he is a very good midfielder face facts no matter what job your are in poeple leave for more money when a team like city come in for a player not many would say no a chance to win the lge play in europe or a relegation scrap with a trinity road stand that basically just moans ( upper stand) enuf said

9.) 07 Jan 2017 16:41:06
How many would say no, make a statement promising your fans and supporters of a club as your staying, to leave 4 days later?

If he had said from get go he is going, this wouldn't be a debate. Integrity is everything. Respect is everything.
The snake has neither

Hey lads, look on Aston Villa rumoursnow, it shows Villa fans fighting amongst themselves, looks to me like Flackie and Walk the Walk have finally met.

1.) 16 Oct 2017 13:12:28
Saw it earlier, quite embarrassing but have to laugh at it, some bird in the middle red faced kicking off between all the blokes.

2.) 16 Oct 2017 13:21:53
I think Flackie is great, would be borring if we agreed all the time.

3.) 16 Oct 2017 18:17:01
Lol no comment!

14 Aug 2017 16:18:54
Just something I have to say, It`s also a question as well.
It seems to me that anyone who has something critical to say about our teams performances and the managers skills gets slated on here, when all they are doing is voicing a personal opinion.
They are told to shut up, get real, and should not get any responses, or some other sarcastic remark.
Let me tell you this site would be useless if we all agreed with each other on just the good points of our side.
I spent my early years as a Villa fan arguing with anyone who said anything bad about my beloved Villa.
I am now an adult and I have since grown up somewhat and can see when we are poor and when we are good, unfortunately whichever way you look at it at the moment we are bad, I will always say it as it is, my eyes are not claret and blue anymore they are clear.
To me our preseason was a good pointer as to how we would fair, but again I was told it`s just a friendly, its trial and error, it`s for fitness, I have never heard so much garbage, we were poor wake up and face it.
The only problem I have with people pointing out their disapproval at something is: once it`s said that should be it, and not to keep on harping about it, surely that's what cause the friction.
Keep this site interesting, post what you feel and mean, never mind the responses you get, just because people disagree with you does not mean they are right, trust me.
I like the colour Yellow, do you? some of you do, some of you don't, I don`t care I still like yellow.
Please accept the above is only an opinion and meant constructively.
Thoughts appreciated
Happy posting,

1.) 14 Aug 2017 17:54:59
Your 100% right, everyone has an opinion, but if what someone's posting is based on 0 evidence and nothing to base it on it's pointless.

2.) 14 Aug 2017 18:02:21
So you are saying that there is 0 evidence that we are a poor side?

3.) 14 Aug 2017 18:18:13
Well said villaDave ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.

4.) 14 Aug 2017 19:00:16
No, where have you got that from? I'm saying if someone's post has 0 evidence behind it it's pointless. Where have you got that there's no evidence we are a poor side from that?

5.) 14 Aug 2017 19:36:31
Been here before with you, ended up talking in riddles, sorry not my style.
Most Villa fans on here base their comments on very good evidence and facts.
I have said my piece and stick by it.

6.) 14 Aug 2017 20:34:50
True Villa dave some people are sheep on here.

7.) 14 Aug 2017 20:39:50
I hold my hands up that I have a major disagreement with a certain poster. (not mentioning names! )
But I do see your point Dave. And if I have upset anyone I apologise.
How ever. my problem is the feeling that certain people WANT us to fail, and create the feeling of failure even before the season, or match has kicked off, just to say 'I told you so'

I do agree that every person in here has an opinion, ave a right to say it, but that does go both ways! If you have an opinion, on the same token, people can argue it!
Also give the opinion, but give it once, not on every post, every thread, and on topics that are not to do with it!
It becomes tedious, boring and if I'm honest frustrating and boring!

8.) 14 Aug 2017 20:41:29
WTW, i don't think diplomacy suits you, what you say rings true, but try it with a bit more grace, your call fella,

9.) 14 Aug 2017 20:42:45
I agree some are sheep, but there is definitely at least one wolf.

10.) 14 Aug 2017 20:45:42
๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ some people indeed are sheep but then there is only one WTW ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜œ.

11.) 14 Aug 2017 20:52:35
We're all VTID here, we all want the best for our club!

If I have offended anyone on here then you really shouldn't take life so seriously . ๐Ÿ˜‚

Banter is great and certainly better than the football we are playing . I have said it before and I will say it again that positivity breeds positivity .

Our club was bad to the very core during the Lerner era . and the result was a club in the doldrums, we need to stick together and be positive then let this see where it leads us.

12.) 14 Aug 2017 21:22:12
Great original post VillaDave, 100% spot on, have put things on here and been met with sarcasm, I just put things I can see happening, things that I know could be happening (through property contacts, footballers buy or view houses before they sign, some rent out to other players) and things I would like to see happen, and try to keep things I would like to see happen be in the realms of possibility. I can't from memory say I have used sarcasm on here, maybe only in retaliation and should only be seen as banter. As for WTW, Classof82, KingVilla, and MrKnowItAll, I look forward to their posts, at least they shake things up? Bit sad they get so much stick

13.) 14 Aug 2017 21:41:15
I love how some people have two possible three names!

14.) 14 Aug 2017 21:58:55
I've lost count but good luck to 'em lol

15.) 14 Aug 2017 21:59:26
Cheers ally, say it as you see it mate.
Banter is great fun and enjoyed by most, let's keep it that way.

16.) 14 Aug 2017 22:37:50

09 Aug 2017 21:39:49
The easiest thing to do in football is walk onto the pitch, the second is pass the ball.
We can do the first with some style, but passing we are shocking.
Steer kept us in the game tonight.
We won so no complaints there.

1.) 09 Aug 2017 21:53:19
Can we keep onomah what a crackin little player!

2.) 10 Aug 2017 00:36:34
villa dave i 100 per cent agree Bruces training must be awful or is it he brought awful players can't think which. Take blues they hammard there lower league team we play ours and we are hanging on for dear life some of the kids were great tho ohare wow boys better than any midfield we got. Also sambas legs completly gone might be ok to bang upfront if your desperte but he looks and plays like a old man.

3.) 10 Aug 2017 07:59:29
Josh was class and stood out a mile,
O'hare was good as well and what I like about him is that he always wants the ball and works his socks off,
Some saying on here that he should be on bench Saturday I say put him in first 11,
Why did Bruce play Thor at left back?
Never plays there and had a stinker,
But main thing is we won so on to next round,
It was very bad conditions to play so it's wrong to be to critical if I'm honest,

4.) 10 Aug 2017 08:46:43
We win you moan we lose you moan thee most irritating person I have ever come across FACT!

5.) 10 Aug 2017 10:09:46
What are you on about villadaz!
What I said is what I saw,
Is that called a opinion?
We were lucky to get away with a win but we won and I'm happy with that,
So you agree with Bruce's selection of players and where he plays them fine!
The only thing I criticised was where he played Thor.
Everybody else played ok except samba who was showing his age,
My god mate lighten up!

6.) 10 Aug 2017 10:12:10
Have I got you wrong,
Was your blog aimed at wtw or me!
It's it's wtw then I'm sorry about my reply.

7.) 10 Aug 2017 10:31:02
Got to say Chester is one of the most consistent players at villa always gives a 7/ 10 performance,
The baggies fans were laughing at us for paying 8 million but for me he is value,
Perhaps he did not like the pulis method,

8.) 10 Aug 2017 11:11:00
Not at you bob the usual suspect fella.

9.) 10 Aug 2017 11:24:43
Villadaz thank God for that!

10.) 10 Aug 2017 13:57:14
I actually agree with wtw about samba, he looked as though he had lead boots on, I see the value in him though as he was key to us holding on during the onslaught of high balls, he won everything that came anywhere near him and that could be worth 5-10 points this season, if he sits in the bench and comes on the last 15-20 mins and heads everything that comes anywhere near out box in the air for that time he serves his purpose, not a 90 min man for me though, he is too suspect on the floor, slowed the game down with his passin across the back 4 where Chester and it move it quickly to spread the play and not to mention his tackle for the pen.

16 Jul 2017 11:50:17
Lets face it we were not good against Shrewsbury.
I know it was only a friendly and is meant for fitness and experimental purposes, but remember the same reasons apply to Shrewsbury.
If we could get the ball to our forwards as quick as we give the ball to our defenders we might make some progress, until then we will not improve.

1.) 16 Jul 2017 18:19:15
Lets see some real attacking intent,
What I see is a team waiting for things to happen then we sit back and hope to hang on.

03 Apr 2017 20:55:40
I know we are on a good run and winning games but my concerns are again in midfield, no goals and never really looking like scoring from midfield, if Kodjia goes on a baron spell we will be snookered.

We purchased Lansbury, Hourihane, to score goals and create chances, imo they are falling well short of their purpose.

Kodjia, great he is scoring goals yes, But a team player no way, Great work and pass from Hogan, great goal follows and what does Kodjia do, totally ignores Hogan runs past him to acclaim his praise, that to me is shocking.

After Scotties injury a few weeks ago when players left him rolling on the floor in pain, and his lack of support from Kodjia, I would be a little concerned as to whether my face fits.

When he is settled and with the proper support I still think Hogan has more goals in him than Kodjia.

For that reason if a team comes in with a 22 - 25 mil bid for Kodjia I would take it in a heartbeat.

1.) 03 Apr 2017 21:47:54
If Kodjia goes on a baron run we're snookered, yet we should sell him based on his celebration and Hogan will score more than him anyway? Have you got a split personality mate? Just joking but that reads a bit like opposites.

Don't think you can read too much into celebrations, he ran straight over to where the players families sit and was pointing into the crowd, after about 10 seconds hogan and him were hugging.

Shouldn't be selling our best players, unless it's for ridiculous money, his proving week in, week out to be one of the best in the league and Saturday showed he and Hogan can play together so they should be both hitting 15/ 20 each next year!

As for the midfield, they create enough, I'm sure Hourihane has two assists in the last four but yea it would be nice to see them add a few goals, Hourihane seems to come close every week.

But at the end of the day, we've won 6 in 7, doesn't matter whose on form, whose scoring, who's celebrating with who, winning is winning.

2.) 03 Apr 2017 22:30:34
chris, read it properly.
I did not say Hogan would score more goals anyway, I said I think he has more goals in him, the defining words being I think.
I did not say I would sell him based on his celebration did I, I said I would sell him because I donโ€™t feel that he is a team player.

We would be snookered without Kodjia`s goals during the season as the team stands now, that is why I would sell in the summer, got it?
And 25 mil would be silly money imo compared to the money we paid for him, that is more than double, correct.

I love Kodjia and have said so before, but he is a free spirit and not a team player Hogan needs a Nakki wells / Mousa dembele type player up front with him, Kodjia is a very selfish player and needs to change, just my opinion.

3.) 04 Apr 2017 00:51:27
Have to agree with Villadave, kodija is a top striker in this league, however, his loyalty has to be questioned, after leaving bristol city, and citing the usual bog standard 'great club, couldn't say no, huge sleeping giant, in love with the fans already. yadda yadda, ' he then went on to say about using bristol city as a stepping stone, and how eventually he would play for one of the biggest clubs in europe.

i'm not so naive to think he'd stay for the rest of his career, but i've a feeling if his agent could get him a bigger gig this summer he'll be in like flynn, yes we can get maybe 25+million for him, and maybe we could sign another precocious talent, but then that stuffs what brucey has been trying to build-continuity, and don't imagine other players' agents will not want their clients paid more.

if, as usual, we have to pay more to attract a striker to join us, i think hogan offers us more because he brings others into play and that helps build unity, just an opinion, and hopefully i'm wrong and kodija stays, scores like a gigolo and he and hogan click, but from what i've seen, its hogan who let's kodija rule the roost, supporting him, and i think that undervalues what hogan can bring to the party.

i know i'm in the minority on that, but if mcshortfarce staggers back, and we ended up being stuck with him, i think him and hogan would form a much more formidable and productive partnership-let the pelters begin!

4.) 04 Apr 2017 09:03:27
Why on earth would you want to sell a proven goal scorer at all Dave?! Keep him unless someone offers mega money. To which your talking 30m+.

5.) 04 Apr 2017 11:18:22
So you don't think he'll score more goals but think his got more goals in him? Makes no sense, I don't think I'd score more goals than Ronaldo but reckon if I tell Real Madrid I've got more goals in me they'll give me a contract? Kodjia needs to change?

Yea please stop scoring and winning us games, it's ridiculous. Selfish or not, Celebrates on his own or not, Kodjia has produced the goods all season consistently, it's no coincidence our worse spell coincided with him being at AFCON, selling him would be ridiculous and a step back.

6.) 04 Apr 2017 11:21:07
Finch, I am not explaining myself again mate.
The clues to your question about proven goal scorer are in my previous two posts.
I have stated silly money have I not?

7.) 04 Apr 2017 13:30:54
I said a couple days ago that it would be nice to see some loyalty from kodgia. Its on the cards that he is going to attract other clubs in the summer. his application is second to none. he and Scot are starting to get together and hopefully will go on to be a magic partnership. Personally i think it would put a spanner in the works of what the Bruce is trying to achieve with these players should be go in the summer.

8.) 04 Apr 2017 14:04:28
But it doesn't make sense Dave, we signed Hourihane and Lansbury to make chances, there not sell Kodjia for silly money as hogan has got more goals in him with proper support, as you claim, the strikers haven't got proper support at the moment but Kodjia is scoring, would hogan do that? It remains to be seen, he has 1 goal at the minute provided by a villa player so the supply was there.

He had 2 good chances Saturday, both given to him in very good positions from the midfield. If silly money came in as in an offer we can't refuse then maybe sell Kodjia, but today's market 25 mil isn't silly money and your argument just seems to disagree with itself. If he goes Hogan is then getting the same service that Kodjia is getting now that you don't think is good enough for him to score goals?

So where does that leave us, mid table?

9.) 04 Apr 2017 14:58:19
If you say so chris, sorry to confuse you.
It all started off very simple but your misunderstanding, your replies and miss quotes messed the whole thing up.
Let's move on.

10.) 04 Apr 2017 16:53:17
Mate it's not personal it's just so contradictory it literally makes no sense, I may have paraphrased but you can't change what you said. The midfield aren't providing good enough service, Hogan has more goals in him than Kodjia, and for 25mil we should sell Kodjia. Kodjia goes and then Hogan gets the same level of service from the same midfielders, all that goes is the goals we are getting now?

25million is not silly money in today's market. I don't get why you'd be so eager to sell one of the best strikers in the league? But from Saturday, they are working well together, Hogan missed two good chances, Kodjia scored two of his chances, both looked and sounded buzzing with the result. Let's just hope hogan isn't as upset as you about Kodjia not celebrating with him.

11.) 04 Apr 2017 17:44:23
Changing the subject a little lads, how do you see tonights game going. hopefully the kodg can get on the Scot sheet again. Not sure if Hogan is fit to start after the niggle he got at the weekend. Reckon2.1 to the villans. Keep our momentum going.

12.) 04 Apr 2017 18:15:43
Would love another win clarat, I am going for 3-1 mate.

13.) 04 Apr 2017 18:18:14
Yes chris,
Oh before I go, look at your previous post timed at 14:04:28, you start by saying "but it does make sense Dave" what makes sense? I never said anything about making sense, if I did point it out.

And buy the way 25 mil for a championship player is ridiculous money, trust me, thatโ€™s a fact.

Does all that make sense.
Our window cleaner supports Everton, he thinks you have been drinking.
Nothing personal mate. I am tired now.

14.) 04 Apr 2017 20:19:17
I think we have found the issue, your reading skills, I said it doesn't, doesn't make sense. I'll leave it there, I treat it as a banter page, for banter but you seem to take things personal mate. Tell your window cleaner mine need doing if he's about though.

15.) 04 Apr 2017 22:53:23
Correct I hold my hand up, I did read it wrong.

Hi Walkie,
In my opinion Robert Snodgrass is his best, and Henry Lansbury the worst.
Snodgrass has a bit of everything a footballer needs, Lansbury on the other hand is bewildered being at Villa Park and has not stepped up to the plate.
As for predictions, scores are difficult, Wolves are not prolific at home only scored once on five occasions, I think Villa will win but by how many who knows.

Most of them I hope Oldvillan, we are carrying a lot of poor quality players who are psychologically out of their depth.

Not sure if you have been reading previous posts! Its all old ground, myself and others have been saying it for weeks about Kodjia, he is a good player and we need him no doubt, but team player No.
