Has anybody heard of Matt Southall he is a football agent and heads a consortium apperntly trying to buy Us?

{Ed002's Note - He quit being an agent some time ago.}

1.) 03 Jun 2018 22:19:29
How does a takeover impact FFP lads? Does it at all? I have a vague recollection of reading something before where a new owner is allowed spend outside FFP for their first season? Does that sound familiar?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

2.) 03 Jun 2018 22:24:58
Thanks Ed, question, how did Wolves skirt FFP last year? That was new ownership, perhaps much lower wages / cost of running than Villa?

{Ed001's Note - it is because it is taken over a 3 year period. They kept within FFP regs previous to last season. I am not sure if they were in breach of any last season as the submitted accounts are not in yet, but they will have two previous years to lower their average down.}

Be loud be proud make sure we all go home with sore throats sing your bloody hearts out let's outdo their clappers WE ARE ASTON VILLA WE'RE THE BEST IN THE LAND.

1.) 26 May 2018 04:48:36
If their fans need clappers to make a noise then it speaks volumes about their fan base, rather like the bluenoses who have the same problem. If you ask me they have already gone into panic mode by choosing to take that step and are already worried that they won't be heard.

Most of the Fulham tickets will be in the hands of the touts, so we can expect a noisy sea of claret and blue today.

Come on Villa make it a day to remember UTV.

14 Mar 2018 11:19:39
Still 27 points to play for am I disappointed yes can Cardiff be caught yes is it all over NO was it a pointless win on Saturday, NO dust ourselves down and go again. in the Immortal words of Ron Saunders, "You wanna bet against us"?

1.) 14 Mar 2018 11:52:06
Come on you villa boys.

2.) 14 Mar 2018 14:54:35
Nicely put daz, love the saunders quote. still 27 to play for. As you said pick ourselves up and go again. This league has always been a nightmare, the thing is we don't panic. play offs its looking like but we, re a strong side and others may slip up yet.

3.) 14 Mar 2018 16:53:02
Very true claret.

4.) 17 Mar 2018 17:14:47
Win against Bolton and Derby win against Cardiff and it's back to where we were.

11 Mar 2018 12:44:27
I think Steve Bruce should be knighted the way he has transformed us the way this club was run to now is nothing short of a miracle to me . The signings he has made have been top notch the biggest one has to be JT his leadership skills are there for all to see ASTON VILLA FOOTBALL CLUB IS BACK and don't we all just love it # IN BRUCE I TRUST.

1.) 11 Mar 2018 13:11:02
I completely agree with you Villa Daz at 1st I had my doubts but I must say with time we have got better and better even if we don't go up I would keep Bruce its been a great season no matter what. Well Done Villa Daz for seeing what I couldn't and many others that's why this forum is great so many differnt views. UTV By the way I have just renewed for next season.

2.) 11 Mar 2018 13:27:08
Got to agree daz the bruce has done a fantastic job since his appointment. Even some of the doubters are now believing The whole feeling around the club now is just brilliant, long may it continue.

3.) 11 Mar 2018 15:22:03
Agree WTW eh bud it's all about opinions that's what makes a good forum what ever I say it's never personal I'm not that kind of guy but I saw the bigger picture and I'm glad you and others are now. long may this continue and keep the faith there is still a lot of airbag to be kicked UTV.

4.) 11 Mar 2018 16:32:46
Agree with everyone about Bruce,
I had serious doubts he would be good enough but he has been fantastic in my opinion
Fair play to him and long may it continue.

13 Feb 2018 11:32:36
A big THANK YOU has got to go to the good Dr. and all of the board for getting Villa back on track and for not sacking our GREAT manager when many was calling for his head.

Our club is now back on track and with this new found optimism and hope we can go on to bigger and better things, I think now the play offs are a cert and automatic Promotion is within our grasps and all the teams around having to come to B6 we are in good stead.

The work behind the scenes must have been worse than we all thought but now with all the team in place I am sure we can gain automatic promotion. Is this team good enough for the PL personally I don't think so but with a few good additions and keeping a few of our present squad I think we would be fine again it would be a transition time but with all the right men in place I'm going to make a bold prediction here and say within 3 years we will be in Europe again #IN ASTON VILLA I TRUST.

1.) 13 Feb 2018 13:06:30
Like yourself villadaz i have always thought that the gaffer is a great manager, his man management is second to none. To see the emotion when our first goal went in was a joy to behold after the terrible blow of losing his father. I think if we do go up to the premier he should lead us. He has earned the right and in my opinion will do well.

2.) 15 Feb 2018 14:56:38
I agree with both of you. I didn't think that he should lead us if we were to qualify for the Premier League myself, but now I certainly think that he deserves the chance, he just have to continue like before. 7 victories in a row. it could be 8 on Saturday. I believe that we will defeat Fulham 1-0, my prediction.

3.) 12 Mar 2018 18:11:13
lose this one. nothing lasts forever we'll lose one at some time or other, but i think wyness and brucie have given us our club back. nice one DR. T.

My last post
Steve Bruce has just come out and spoken about our club and said it as it is sell sell sell now for all you people who follow our club knows when he came in we was in the doldrums facing relegation. In the face of it he inherited a squad built by RDM and Dr Tony. When that went tits up Steve Bruce had to get loan players in not the ones he wanted because we was stuck with FFP Fact. Now the poor bloke lost both his parents in a small space of time yet still turned up to train and also manage on match days that is a true leader in my eyes. We all wanted the truth what is happening and now our manager has had to say it not the person who has ruined our club again this speaks volumes of our manager. Certain people on here spout on and on day in day out about how much they hate him and his football but he had the best win action than any of our last 3 maybe more managers and we scored more goals last season than I can seem to remember them are FACTS. So before you all wish him bad luck this season and hopes he fails again just remember not only are you wishing him to fail but you are also hoping Villa fail that in itself is embarrassing. Enjoy your moaning and gloating because you are both a real embarrassment to all that is ASTON VILLA FOOTBALL CLUB!

1.) 09 Jul 2018 21:37:45
Good post there mate.

2.) 09 Jul 2018 22:41:22
I agree Villadaz, bruce very nearly got us promoted whilst working with restrictions and if we had won that last match I think the same people would still be calling for change because of his style of football. For me he plays the football that wins you games at Championship level and with cash behind should we have gone up who knows what he may of achieved and what style he would have adopted.

But despite all the turmoil this summer and the inevitable pending departures, I still haven't given up on next season just yet because you just never know in football who is going to step up and become the next batch of star players UTV.

3.) 09 Jul 2018 22:46:49
Hope it's not your last post Villadaz, some of us do like reading your posts and find a lot of interest in the points you put forward, myself being one of those. UTV.

4.) 10 Jul 2018 02:16:18
2 things, come on daz, stop f**king about and say what you mean!, last post my arse, you can't skidaddle now fella, now the chips are down, this is when it all really starts, some fair weather supporters will always hoot up when things go sideways, but if your old enough to remember some of the divisions we've been in and fortunes of the past, this my friend is just a pregnant pause, we go again because that's who we are, and will always be, yeah the road is going to bumpy, and the results jumpy, but that's what will make it all the more sweeter when we rise again to the top, so don't give up daz, our best times are ahead of us, and secondly, on a personal note, i'll be glad when we get rid of kodjia, some players add to the feel good factor in a changing room, SOME DON'T, i know which one he belongs to, so the sooner he jogs on the better, i really think because of this squad unity will prevail, so whoever is there at the start of the season i don't care, as long as they give they're all (hutton style) that's all i ask-hearts and minds boys-UTV!

09 Jul 2018 12:19:40
Loving the new kits very retro well done Mr Roper and villa.

1.) 09 Jul 2018 13:50:35
Yep there smart love the claret 1.

14 Jun 2018 11:19:04
If Blues have renamed their stadium to escape FFP penalties why the hell can't we?

1.) 14 Jun 2018 19:50:58
Nothing in theory is stopping us. but i suppose there are two ways this could be done, 1. Attract an external sponsor as with places like the Emirates or 2. it becomes the Recon Stadium.

Problem i see with we are not a particularly good brand to be associated with right now so external interest would be limited and would probably not bring in mega bucks. Which brings us to the Recon idea. only problem is we already know that Dr Tony either cannot get any more money out of China or may not actually have any money at all so that doesn't seem an option either.

So in theory a good idea but in our current situation not easy to achieve.

2.) 14 Jun 2018 21:22:10
Birmingham city have shareholders all over the world that can pump money in with eg stadium renaming but we still have only Dr. Tony and he can't take money out of china that's why we are having money problems. Otherwise good idea.

3.) 15 Jun 2018 00:52:32
Walkies where have all these, rich worldwide shareholders of the noses been hiding . Going by the name, it appears to be the people who bought them out What’s their name trillion cups, or some thing similar. Unfortunate name for the noses, to be joined up with . As far as I know, they, have an ashtray presented by Barcelona and the Leyland Daf cup . Incidently the name on that cup before them, was Fisher and Ludlow toolroom . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

4.) 15 Jun 2018 08:10:04
I'm starting to question the whole "cant get money out of China" excuse as well :- (.

5.) 16 Jun 2018 20:59:06
It's all bs. China was and I state was our backer. Dr t is a front man nobody. They have pulled the plug and, unless we get a, very rich investor or a new owner we are going one way I'm afraid.

{Ed001's Note - are you going to keep up this nonsense forever? The state had no involvement. It was a big gamble by your owner on getting up. There was never any money, which was why players had to be offloaded to enable the signing of Terry.}

12 Jun 2018 12:07:47
So WTW what do you think of your mukka trying to sue your club and dropping us even more in the brown stuff? If you ask me I think he's a self centred Wxxxxr who was only in it for the money like the rest of the money grabbing pxxxks!

1.) 12 Jun 2018 19:22:55
Given that Wyness has more knowledge than most about Villa's financial problems, he either has inside knowledge that Villa have more money than what is being reported, or he couldn't care less about the clubs welfare, or indeed if it's the final nail because he was only in it for what he can get from the club himself, personally I would go with the latter.

2.) 12 Jun 2018 19:18:11
We can't comment until we know the full story my friend for all we know Dr. Tony is the bad guy. Look Dr. Tony can't afford to run Aston Villa for what ever reason Keith Wyness was thinking of the Villa fans and tryed to get the club sold to somebody who can actually run it now Dr Tony don't want to sell even tho he can't afford to run it he wants investors which never works because they will argue over things and have differnt views.

I don't think Villa are in as bad a trouble as people make out but if you are looking at somebody to blame its Dr. Tony for paying them so much and Bruce for buying these old over the hill players and agreeing huge wages for them. Wyness isn't a friend of mine its just we spoke a lot when we seen each other. Untill we know the full picture let's just not judge anybody.

3.) 12 Jun 2018 19:33:31
I'm not looking for someone to blame, It's just that given the circumstances is it really a good time to be looking to sue the club?

4.) 12 Jun 2018 19:52:10
i actually think we are in more trouble than we think. Just a hunch but i think all the talk of not being able to get cash out of china etc is just a smokescreen from the snake oil salesmen to cover for the fact that there is no money. i desperately hope i am wrong but i think we are looking at the darkest period in our history.

5.) 13 Jun 2018 02:27:09
I tend to agree bob.

07 Jun 2018 08:54:04
Dark days.
After the last couple of weeks the days of being a Villa fan has been traumatic to say say the least. Aston Villa football Club are in the mire and we have had 1 lousy statement off them we as Villa fans deserve to know what is going on with our ONCE Great club. I thought we was going in the right direction under our leadership how wrong I was for that I hold my hands up. So who is to blame for the predicament that we are in? Learner, Xia Wyness? God only knows but one thing is for sure these people have only one thing in mind Money. Like all the clubs that this has happened to I can only imagine what their fans was going through other fans mocking them including us with the Blues well this is a wake up call ladies and gentlemen maybe now we can wake up as fans of our club and say No more. We tried to get Wolves investigated why? In my opinion jealousy that's all that was we all need now to stand together as One and fight for the club that we was chosen to support from our young years forget the cups and our history we are needed now.

1.) 07 Jun 2018 10:43:39
Daz fully agree with you,
It seems strange we tried to get wolves investigated and all the time we can't get our own house in order
I pray to God we sort it either with the present owner or another,
We fans need to know what's going on and what there planning to do to get us back to a stable club,

2.) 07 Jun 2018 12:53:49
Good post Daz, i like yourself thought the club leadership was first class. I Think the good doctor has been let down very badly. Especially reading what Stan the man wrote yesterday. where do we go from here? Is anyones guess. no one saw this coming at least not this severe. Think Tony xia needs our support i believe he will get us out of this mire but we will be severely weakened. The forth coming season will see us much depleted with a very weakened team. It is what it is and on a personal level my support will of course remain.

And just for the record I did say if we was to get promoted I would have gave Bruce 10 games to see how he gets on because he is not a PL manager just a very good Championship manager OK Einstein!
