If Bruce is getting that job, suggests to me that there ain’t no takeover happening anytime soon because he’d be at best an interim manager, add to that their fans will have the same view we had that he once managed their local rivals and that stink never leaves, and on top of that he’s a Championship level manager at best, so far I’ve got the Dingles, the Mags, need 1 more for a who gets relegated tricast. 🤔

I assume that Newcastle have given up on trying to find a competent Premiership-level manager, and have simply opted for one that Ashley can operate as a puppet. Bruce's track record would suggest that, even when he is able to get a club into the top tier, he can't keep them there and, given what Deano did with largely the same squad that Bruce left him last season, the ability difference between them is clearly massive. If I was a Magpie's supporter, I'd frankly be in tears of despair right now.
