learner is in talks for the sale of aston villa for £145 million. let's see what happens

shmiggles

1.) 02 Aug 2015 02:04:37
Well I won't say told you so, when all around said that the deal was dead I stuck to my guns and insisted that it was still well and truly alive, not many took me serious even though I gave my reasons for my beliefs so this is not unexpected news for me. Maybe in future people will take a little more notice of the wise old Villa fan. :-) :-)

2.) 02 Aug 2015 09:55:18
It's a bit early to start ladling out the humble pie WOVF
The only source for this was a highly, speculative, low on facts (as in, NONE) article in the Star.
Hardly case proven yet mate

3.) 02 Aug 2015 13:27:15
WOVF, The clubs up for sale. Therefore at some point it will be sold. Does this mean you can play the "I told you so" card whenever a rumour arises?

apparently spurs have offered 4 million and nacer chadli for the service of weiman not sure how true but I for 1 would take that

shmiggles

1.) Very much doubt this one he ent woth 4 mil never mind chadli on top

hutton is off to west ham in a deal which will see diame plus 3 million come to villa park
other transfer I have heard is Manchester United have offered 15 million plus welbeck for the beast benteke

shmiggles

1.) You have a shocking imagination

2.) Um I really not, I do admit diame and welbeck would be nice they won't happen

3.) Diame PLUS £3m? Oh go on then!

4.) Both not going to happen

5.) Hutton plus 3million for diame

6.) Well unfortunately this deal will not happen, as after tonight's game diame won't pass a medical

7.) What on earth are you valuing Hutton at for Gods sake?
Less than a million is his true worth at the moment.
Also, you can be sure that the one player we will NOT be selling in this window is Benteke so give it a rest.
Clarrie Blue.

8.) Diame has a £2.5m release clause doesn't he?

9.) Nope 3.5 mill release clause so hutton valued at 500k so with 3 mill on top would make 3.5 million

callumn mcmanaman is on his way to villa in a deal which will see mark albrighton go to wigan in a cash +deal figure is 4. 5 +albrighton
other rumour I heard is anichabie of everton is a target for lambert

shmiggles

1.) I know many rate Mc Manaman, but I am not one of them. Intact I would venture to say that if we did actually go through with a deal for him, I would be underwhelmed considering some of the exciting names we have been linked with recently.

I am hoping that we follow through with Reported Chadli interest, as he has the tools to be somewhat of a phenom for us. He's 6'2 and highly skilled, similar to Christiano Ronaldo, in that he is fast and full of trickery on the ball.

He scores flair goals too.

I am thinking that Bacunda will end up playing some defensive mid and be used as a hybrid midfielder, to some degree.

As for Anichibe, I think he is useless and would question what value he would bring to such a young exciting team.

Leroy

2.) Its Marc not Mark firstly.
Secondly - this is his make or break season. Player swap deals never happen anymore - pointless rumour as it will never happen!

3.) I think he wouldn't be a bad signing but would hope for chadli or kiyotake

4.) Agree with you there Leroy. And if i'm totally honest, if albrighton can stay fit he's a much better player than mcmanaman anyway. When he was fully fit he was ripping defences to shreads, in his first season alone he made mugs of Manchester United and chelsea single handedly! Also anichibe is awful and i'm 95% sure lambert can see that!

5.) Isnt he injured and out until December

6.) Mcmanaman is a class player. Shown last season that he can carry the ball well and is a good crosser just needs to pass it more. Would rather have mcmanaman than albrighon. Would have to disagree about alright on single handily ripping apart opposition defences. It was mainly down to Young and Downing without them he would if been terrible.

7.) Disagree, we were getting mullered at home to united, albrighton came on and completely changed the game! i've seen him make top class defenders like ashley cole look like sunday league players. I fully rate the kid and with a full season under his belt he'd be unreal.

8.) Personally I think McManaman is quality, Its so good to see an English player with flair and dynamism, he's quick, sharp, agile, direct, brilliant running with the ball, good crosser and I like how he always looks for 1 2s around the box, he was dynamite whenever he played for Wigan, an I'd say without McManaman Wigan would not have beat City in the FA cup final, he was outstanding.

Generally I think McManaman Is technically better and has a more alround game than Albrighton had/has.

I'd agree Albrighton was good for that one season and had real potential to be a very good prem player, but I don't see him fulfilling his potential, injuries are ruining any hope of that

>Scg87

9.) Leroy, I'm lost, in what way do you don't rate McManaman, he was one of the best wide players in EPL last season, playing in a poor side in his first full season and he's still a kid. What's a young player got to do to get reasonable recognition? Chances are he won't arrive at VP anyway, Liverpool & Everton are also interested apparently. Let's hope Albrighton gets his opportunity this season and he proves the doubters wrong, his time has come to prove himself.

10.) Albrighton knows this is his last chance, but to me him being fit is like a new signing in my eyes! Does nobody else think that we'd have been a few places further up the table with albrighton in the team, playing him and gabby as wingers and benteke and weimann up front? I've put a lot of faith in albrighton during many a conversations in the last few weeks and i'm hoping he will get a good chance and take it properly!

11.) I mean to say that I don't rate Mc Manaman ahead of Nacer Chadli or Kiyotake. and like someone else said, perhaps even Marc Albrighton is just as good (when healthy/if he can stay fit).

I don't think that's too outrageous of a thing to suggest really, given the stats of Chadli and Kiyotake, not to mention the flashes of brilliance that Marc showed under Houllier in particular.

aston villa will offer 2 million and shay given to celtic for fraser forster as lambert starts he's summer spending spree

shmiggles

1.) Wouldnt mind this but don't think Lambert would sign a keeper who would expect first team football straight away which I think Forster would, even more so if he wants to make a play for the World Cup squad next year.

I think Guzan is clear No. 1 and I would expect a young keeper, again maybe from the lower leagues, to be brought in. Someone like Moore from Brentford or Smithies from Huddersfield possibly

2.) He'd want 1st team football - which he wouldn't get at Villa.
Siegrist is a better 2nd keeper.

3.) No way, he wants first team football in england for world cup place. Won't play second fiddle to brad!

4.) Spending spree? I doubt it.

5.) Celtic will never let that happen, Forster is worth more than that

6.) Forster is a quality keeper, Lambert knows all about him, he was on loan at Norwich.

anyone think villa should go for milner in a loan deal? I really think he would come back to villa and could be the that extra bit of quality we crave to produce the chances for the beast benteke

shmiggles

1.) Only take him back permanently.

2.) Would love to have milner back whether it be a loan deal or permanent and I think it'd do wonders for our squad but his wages are a problem and I don't think that pellegrini (probably spelt that wrong) would let him leave on a loan deal especially if it included man city paying a percentage of his wages. Also if we wanted him permanently we'd have to something in the region of £12-£15mil

is gomis signing for the villa? I have heard we
have had a bid accepted
where is Darren bent going to end up this season I think Newcastle could be the place but from what I have read there are 4 to 5 options for him

shmiggles

1.) Bent will choose Fulham he stated months ago he wants a London move

So that will be Fulham or even palace

2.) Shmiggles

Not sure we need a player like Gomis anymore now that Benteke is staying.
So I would not put money on it.

And yes according to reports today, Bent would prefer a move to London, Fulham look to be one up on Newcastle on that score.

"Desperate measures by Spuds might yet crop up" with Bent

villadave

3.) Gomis was in advanced talks with newcastle two days ago and said he would be interested in a move

---------Westwood---Delph----------

frazer forster 2mill from celtic+given
Robert huth 4.5mill from stoke
figuroa free from wigan
murphy 2mill from crewe
callum mcmanaman 5 to 6 mill from wigan
cresswell 3 mill Ipswich
huddleston 4 to 5 mill from spurs
kone 4 mill from wigan

villa outs

dunn released
lichai released
given to celtic
Ireland 3to 4 mill hope lol
nzogbia 7 to 8 mill
bent 5 to 8 mill if we are lucky
weimann 6 to 9 mill to spurs
herd?

shmiggles

1.) No way are we going to sign these players! huth, kone and figueroa are all against Lambert's transfer policy. we can't guarentee forster first team football and i'm not sure why he would leave a champions league team. personally I do rate huddelstone but we've got too many players like him. we need a really creative midfielder. as for murphy and cresswell however, I can definatly see lambert going for them as well as mcmanaman.
