LVG to make a last minute swoop to take Ron Vlaar to MUFC.
Based on nothing more than gossip I have heard from no single reliable source.
I hope it isn't true.
1.) No need he is signing Daley Blind
2.) Why sign a blind player? he'd need a dog to find the tunnel!
3.) Daley Blind is a left back. An offer will come in tomorrow on deadline day

Vlaar deal to MU is no where near. if he goes it will be to Southampton who don't want to meet our valuation.

Robbie Neilson at Heart of Midlothian.
He's proven himself astute, and capable of dealing with limited resources. He also believes in developing players, which is what our lot need.
It could be the out of the box thinking that would keep us up.
{Ed007's Note - Robbie Neilson is a good young coach but he is nowhere near ready to take over an EPL team plus I don't think he is what Villa need right now, you need someone who is going to come in and immediately set about ensuring your EPL survival. I wouldn't be surprised to see an experienced man brought in between now and May with the club looking at a young progressive coach coming in during the summer.}

I've never been a 'Sack the manager' fan. But 3 weeks ago Carlos Gil looked like a great player. Last night he looked like he'd be lucky to get a Sunday league game. Time for a manager who makes players better please!

Can I ask a favour guys? As a Villain living in rural perthshire, I struggle to get any decent news on the club/team.
Can you make sure the rumours are true - otherwise I just don't know what the hell is happening! :D:D

I think most of us on here try to be as accurate and as honest as we can, but unfortunately there are the odd few who come up with total rubbish.
You will after a while get to know the culprits and read between the lines.

Reading the comment about Villa & South American Flair.
Had to go check cause the old memory is wonky, but can confirm that we have signed a Colombian already. Carlos Sanchez (defensive midfielder) is awaiting International Clearance as far as I have read.
Last season we had (I think) the worst record for losing after taking the lead. IMO PL has looked to address the defense. If we score the goals of last season without conceding, we'll be fine, just fine. if we're lucky, Benteke will come back and score a bundle as well.
I had heard of Benteke, by virtue of watching international football. He was already a Belgium International player when he came.
Not sure about adding Keene to the management team. Does he really want to be Lambert's number two, and what does that tell us about sale of the club?

A 50% win ratio for his 28 games in charge at Spurs.
If he can negotiate a similar ratio for us to the end of the season, we'll probably survive.
