A website has said that contrary to reports, Aston Villa's bid for Ghana international Jordan Ayew has been rejected by Lorient.

The west Midlands club are thought to have bid in the region of £8m, but the Ligue 1 side want around £11m. He also suggests Lorient are unhappy with Villa's terms of payment, calling them 'completely unacceptable.

Have you seen what website is reporting it though? Pinch of salt springs to mind. I'm sure that site is ran by the brum. Nothing but negative talk about the villa.

Just read via a french source, journalist close to Lorient that fee still hasn't been agreed. Original offer of €12m but they want more because Marseille have a sell on clause

Why is nothing straight forward when it comes to villa? I thought this deal would fly through! Even the work permit should be simple as all background checks were done for Andre to Swansea so it should hopefully be a case of copy, paste, submit. Lorient supposedly wanting €15m
