Championship here we come.

Can someone explain why when we have an ex England centre half on our coaching staff we can't defend set pieces?

Easy- when you have a manager who ignores advice and goes 'zonal 'no matter what, the results literally DO speak for themselves.

I do get that Classof82 but at the start of the season we were defending better than we are now, same players and yet at the moment it looks like every time the opposition attacks we look like we are going to concede. I could have understood that more if that was happening at the start of the season whilst the new players were bedding in but not now.

Villa haven't played well in 24 years. Don't delude yourself, Villajohn. Just face it. It's Championship next season. No manager in the world would want to have the responsibility of the club. Wonder why? Maybe because it's the most overrated club in the Premiership, and therefore the most difficult club to manage. I for one see that now. I know another thing. Sam Allardyce isn't the answer to the problems nor is Neil Warnock. Aston Villa is doomed!

Well, Terry won't be the answer either. If Villa wins something again in let's say 48 years of time, it wouldn't surprise me at all. That's the state we are in.

If we are going to get rid of Smith then Terry or Allardyce aren’t the answer I would rather we try someone like Alex Neill at Preston or dare I say it Gary Rowett I think either could do a decent job we don’t want to recycle the same old names.

Villa are a massive club 5 most successful club in English history stats don't lie big fan base good stadium quality training ground, just been run poorly since doug, and also ffp has hindered villa spending power with new owners, we just need the right manager and coaches then we will be flying again it's just been a dull 10 years we will bck one day.
