Looking at a Q and A on Birmingham Live by Ashley Preece he thinks the Sarr and Barlkley rumours are in his words far fetched and therefore unlikely to happen but mileage still in the Josh King deal.

That could be a fair appraisal. Smith seems to have suggested this morning one more for the ‘forward line’, but also referred to midfield as well. He also passed an interesting comment that one player might be able to cover both areas. That had me immediately thinking Buendia, but that name has rarely been mentioned in the press recently.

Whether a loan of Loftus-Cheek or Barkley also comes into play, I am not sure. Although I still think the former
is the more likely loanee, which probably fits with AP’s feelings.
