My tactics for Aston Villa against Everton would be a 4-5-1 formation:
Heaton (GK), Guilbert (DR), Engels (DC), Mings (DC), Targett (DL), Grealish (AMR), McGinn (MCR), Nakamba (DMC), Hourihane (MCL), El Ghazi (AML), Wesley (FW) .


I would choose from these substitute players: Kalinić, Elmohamady, Chester, Hause, Trézéguet, Jota and Kodjia.


Either way, my prediction is: 2-0 to Aston Villa!

I think that Luiz should rest for now, and that other players should get the chance. The formations should have been entirely different the first two matches. For me, it would've been better with an 4-4-2 attacking formation against Bournemouth and I would've prefered the 4-5-1 formation against Tottenham. I'm sure we would've been better off than we are now.

Kenn looks good to me however having just lost our opening games and no points on the board I believe Deano will play safe (read in to that no attacking fullbacks) so Elmo and Taylor are almost certain to play. To be fair Elmo probably deserves to be in, Taylor should never have started the season in the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hourihane in the stating 11, ( would not be my choice I hasten to add) but I think it will be Heaton Elmo Engels Ming's Taylor Hourihane Jack McGinn Luiz Trez Wes.

Yeah maybe caffu, however I think if we go with Taylor and Elmo we will be hammered .

Everton set up 4-2-3-1 also . With a forward three of richalison, Bernard and sigurdson.

Elmo vs Bernard 🥺

Guilbert made something like the third highest talked in Europe last season .

Also I think we need Nakamba and Luiz to nulify the threat of Gomez and sigurdson.

I can also see Everton giving debuts to Kean from Juventus and Iwobi from Arsenal . That makes it an even tougher proposition.

We should be starting with the best 11 players on the pitch there is no better time than in the first 5 games as it gives them time to gel .

Only my opinion but shoot me for it 🤪.

Kenn if you get chance watch Deanos press conference, he has gone on record as saying players not playing have to earn the earn the shirt and prove they are better than the players they expect to replace. This is code for Targett and Guilbert aren't good enough. The worrying thing for me is that a £15 mill left back can't displace a weak short arce. Marvelous is not the player he thought he was getting and Guilbert can't defend. So all the optimistic guys on here expecting changes are going to be disappointed tomorrow. Deano I am sure you know what you are doing and on this basis suggests you have not bought as wisely as we all first thought otherwise the teams most fans would select would be in tomorrow.

And yes every player has to earn the right to take the shirt! So I do agree with Deano in that sense

Quiet how you have came to the conclusion this means they are 💩players I don’t know 🤷‍♂️

he said they have to take the shirt and they are getting used to the speed of the game, the physicality and also how we as a team play .

Answer this . these are Dean Smiths signings, therefore I can’t see him spending money for no reason? Also this far Taylor and Elmo haven’t done too much wrong,

i just think Guilbert and Targett are better having seen both of them in preseason.

Guilbert can’t defend, but was in the top 5 for completed tackles in the whole of Europe . However Guilbert may not be getting a game due to the relationship on the pitch between Elmo and Trez who play in the same national team and know how each other plays .

Also where has he said Nakamba is not the player he thought he was getting! Jesus he hasn’t played a game, hasn’t had a pre season yet is being written off 😂

As for being optimistic . I’m a glass half full kind of guy . Pity the some of the other Villa fans on here aren’t! personally questioning a team with 13new players after 2 losses in the toughest league In the world is nothing short of a disgrace.
