A year ago today we layed Sir Doug Ellis to rest what a great owner he was they don't make them like him anymore. I spoke to him many times he was such a kind and caring guy. UTV.

Well said walkies, he was a giant for us and campaigned endlessly behind the scenes promoting football in our region-a colossus and a true football man, many a charity got sizeable donations from him which he never took the credit for, and woe betide anyone who slated not only us, but anything to do with the region or its people, I doff my cap to him with the upmost respect and admiration-God Bless A Great Man and a Gentleman.
