Smith needs to go back to the start of the season. how he wanted to play, drop jack back into the no8 role, we need him more involved, plus helps to create more space for others as he’s easier to mark out on the left. then go out attacking, bring 2 wide players either side of Wesley, how it was planned when we invested in him, then if we go down. at least we go down swinging!

Pricey, we need to stop conceding easy goals, I would argue scoring is the least of our problem's, especially if we can nab a striker in January. We need a change in formation, and quick!

Yes we need to stop conceding. equally though in a 433 you defend first and foremost by attacking and aiming to pin the team back by getting higher up the pitch and pressing quick when lose the ball to press the opposing team to lump the ball up. to do this you need 2 wingers, preferably fast, either side of forward. ball carriers in the middle 3, jack and Mcginn were ideal, so might need Connor to step into that mcginn role rather than asking him to be a destroyer, of which he is not. Yes defence may come under pressure if we don’t push and press as a team but at the start of the season we were more like a team, we do miss Mings with his leadership, so sooner he is back the better.
