Smith should do the decent thing and resign.

The fact of the matter is that Smith has squandered millions on mediocre players. In hindsight to entrust that type of budget to someone with no top flight experience, was a massive mistake. Fair play to the crowd today who continued to back the team. Some of you may recall Josef Venglos’ Villa side being thumped at home by Man City. I honestly think Smith’s credibility as a Premiership Manager is shot. The players look like nervous wrecks. Look at the difference Pearson has made at Watford. We need change.

Teams that go down always have a bad goal difference. Enough said. Smiths teams can't defend. Change now before it's too late if it isn't already.

I also feel he needs to go out of anger but after having time to think about it mate I don’t think it’s that much his fault our players are simply not good enough, can’t wait for pepe to come because once again nylan is crap, all of the players should be fined for today’s performance and give a refund to all the fans that came along and supported till the end.

{Ed025's Note - i think you need to show some patience tom, what were you expecting a CL spot?, avoiding relegation will be a great result if you can manage it mate and then build from there..

They said the same about Watfords players but look what Pearson has done with them.

Pearson has gone to an established premier league team. I'd love to know who would have replaced 10+ players for 130 million and done better. Hindsight is always 2020. We had to rebuild the squad. can't believe how little patience there is and how quickly people turn. Let me guess big Sam or pulis. Christ on a bike I'd rather go down.

Rather go dwn at least with big Sam and pulis we would be solid and I bet we wouldn't go dwn change now else it's going to be to late.

Plus ruptektvilla, if we had signed proven prem class players we would of been doing better, quality is better than quantity, we signed to many crap players any other manager in the prem with that budget we had we would be safe accept norwhichs manager.

Ed—— It’s not about expecting a champions league spot I was expecting to finish 17th if I’m honest with you, it’s about watching the team I support not give a flying flip about how they play that’s my problem, it’s the same mistakes every time if myself and a lot of other players can see that el Mohammed and Taylor are crap why keep playing them I’d rather see some u23 players given the chance instead of Taylor.

{Ed025's Note - im an everton fan tom so you dont have to tell me about under performing players mate, we all have our favourites and fall guys but we have to stick by our team...what other options do we have?

Give some of the u23s a chance especially at left back we might aswell play with 10 when Neil Sunday league Taylor is playing!

Stick with Dean Smith it’s a long term plan even if we go down.

Villa4eva, why appoint Sam Allardyce or Tony Pulis when we know that they're terrible? And stop calling him Big Sam, there is nothing big about him, because he has never won a single title in his life, that says a lot. So, wouldn't you want Mauricio Pochettino instead? I'm just curious.

Poch to villa hnchmchl85 your dreaming he'd never come to villa your in Dreamland mate, I'd love him at villa but right now it would be wrong move we need an old school manager like wilder who is class big Sam or pulis.

Villa4eva that's my point mate, who would we have signed that's prem quality but for the prices we paid? It's a mess though I think we can all agree on that.
