Still, at least Hogan scored this weekend?!? I'm currently working in China so only got the Bournemouth news late. Let me know which players you'd like me to give this virus to and I'll meet them in the car park ahead of the next game 😊😊.

I have found a little positive though, when we do go down at least there are more matches in the season.

To be fair mate I enjoyed the championship mate even when we didn't go up in them seasons atleast we won matches tom, and the championship is of high standard aswell yes I'm glad we are in the prem but championship for me is such a good from top too bottom, I wouldn't fancy our team right now to come strait bck up not a chance mate.

Nope neither do I mate I hate to been doom and gloom but I think we are going down, like I say I don’t mind it, most of the players we have are championship level so would be interesting, something to look forward to a mid week game! Another thing I want to see flames and a little display before the games like they do at wolves, would make it worth while because the football isn’t enjoyable to watch! Pass side ways then backwards then side ways. We must have a rugby coach in our club who is telling the players they can’t pass forward! Think I have worked it out boys.

As much as I dislike wolves you have too give them credit they had a plan and got a class manager in Europe who I think won years cup with Porto I could be wrong on that but they had a plan unlike us mate it's alright throwing money away like we have but you have to have the right manager spending it, it's up to our owners to make big decisions, when we came up they could paid deano off and got a big name too take us further in the summer but they missed a trick tom now we are in a right mess if some how we do stay up deano needs to go in the summer in we need sum one like dyche for me.

We need a team of players that would put there bodies on the line and go threw brick walls not one villa player apart from jck would go threw walls for you mate.

Completely agree with the above. I think the one thing we’ve lacked in the majority of games this season is desire and commitment to play for the shirt. The players looked scared yesterday, lost count of the amount of times we lost the ball in our own half.

In order to succeed, the desire for success should be greater than the fear of failure.

Nobody can predict that otherwise they'd be rich.
The joy of football is not knowing. Did anyone genuinely think we'd beat Leicester?
For all we know City and Liverpool could have 10 of their first team out ill or injured by the time we play them and get 2 unexpected wins there.
On the other side we could predict 3 points against Newcastle and deflections and pitch bobbles do us.

For me the key to survival is getting McGinn back and firing as soon as possible. That could well happen by the end of March. Also we need to be going flat out in all remaining 7 home games, 110 percent effort, as the great Ron Saunders always used to demand. They need to put the kind of shifts in that they did against Leicester in all those 7 games. If we could achieve 15 points from those games we probably wouldn't need to win too many away from home. We will probably need more than our fair share of luck also, we definitely don't want any more injuries for example.
It's not over yet, guys, not by a long chalk, you only have to look at the table, it's as tight as hell down there.
Stay positive.

Markdav I agree we need to up our game massively now.
But my concerns are the defence.
The joint worst defence in premiership 47 goals.
What is the chances of us suddenly getting watertight?
I don't see it myself.
This defence should have been sorted months ago but we still make the same basic errors and fron the same players most of time.
Terry is doing nothing for me with his work on the training pitches.
I'm hoping we can get the results to keep us up but my confidence has been shattered with our defensive errors.
All this talk of bringing in a goalscorer to get us out of mess but all the time we should have spent more time looking at defensive signing.
I'm a very worried villa fan now and the thought of returning to the championship and losing our best players in the process is not a happy feeling.

To be honest Mainbob when they let Chester go to Stoke, I honestly that they had a replacement lined up, like Vida for example, and now Konza is injured. Anymore injuries to central defenders and we're going to be seriously struggling in that area now.
I agree, we have leaked far too many goals, but from what I've seen, it's not always the back that are to blame. I see passes, not necessary from defenders, going to the opposition in dangerous places, I see midfielders getting caught in possession in dangerous places, I see wingers not getting back when they should be etc. etc.
There are times I feel we need to defend better as a team and cut down the space we keep giving quality players to do what they're good at doing.
It's hard work doing all that but you're right, we leak goals far too easily.
