Oh well the championship it is, I hope the players and coaching staff are proud of their efforts this season, utter disgrace and shambles. Us and Norwich got everything we deserved the only difference we spent millions achieving our failure.

Who stays and who goes lads? Smith, Suso and Jack are bankers for me. Who else?

Only players I'd keep are Nyland, Konsa, Hause, Hourihane, Samatta, Taylor, Elmohamady, Engels, Guilbert and Davis. These are either proven at Championship level or are likely to succeed at that level. Grealish has proved that he ain't quite as good as people thought. Mings is positionally awful and McGinn is too good for the Championship. Get as much money for them as we can and spend it on Ollie Watkins, Dwight Gayle and a tough tackling midfielder. Targett may be worth keeping too. Lansbury will do OK. Drinkwater has been a disgrace to the shirt and the likes of Luiz and Wesley need to be taken off the wage list.

I'd keep Deano but Suso has proved that the recruitment should be approved by the manager/ head coach. Give Deano a free reign and allow him to bring in the players he wants and I think we'll do OK next season.

II am basing my ones to keep based on those that we have a chance of keeping as I think a number who we might want to keep are in all likelihood going to agitate for moves so the ones I think we ought to keep are Guilbert Konsa Hourihane Davis and Samatta the ones I would like to keep but will in all likelihood want to go are Luiz Mings and McGinn the rest can all go as far as I am concerned. In terms of replacements I like Ollie Watkins but I think he is destined for the premiership with or without Brentford I have a friend who is a Peterborough fan who raves about Ivan Toney good goalscoring record this season only 24 so he might be worth a punt. Joe Lolley and Worrall at Forest seem good players to me and I also like the looks of Nick Powell at Stoke Eze at QPR and before he was injured Dack at Blackburn. I might be inclined to enquire about getting Albrighton back as I don’t think he will be a regular starter at Leicester and he still delivers quality crosses into the box.

Some decent calls there Villajohn especially Albrighton back in a Villa shirt. Obviously our wanted list will have changed dramatically once in the championship and reminds me of a quote from Big Ron when he had the boot " one day you're shopping for Collymore, the next, shopping for cauliflower " classic 😁 what we wouldn't give for a larger than life character like him back at the helm.

Not sure why anyone wants to keep nyland he's a tragedy waiting to happen at any level.

The other thing I think we need to look at when we are in the Championship is the loan market Lampard made real good use of his Chelsea contacts to get Mount and Tomori on loan together with Harry Wilson from Liverpool they played a significant role in Derby’s run to the play offs if we could loan the likes of Rhian Brewster currently banging them in for Swansea and Curtis Jones from Liverpool and Billy Gilmour from Chelsea to name but a few I am sure there are plenty of other possibilities at the top Premier clubs who could do a job for us in the short term.

I'd rather we promoted our own youth John instead of developing other teams young players.

Ideally Moose I agree but I don’t think it’s a case of either or, for me it’s all about squad and if we can use other teams players to augment our own youngsters with some experience from the championship and prem then as long as the outcome is right then I haven’t got a problem.

If we go down the loanee road I think we need to include option to buy at the end of the loan deal, in the contract.
We lost 3 of our best players, Abraham, Tuanzebe and Snodgrass when we were promoted and didn’t replace them adequately.
Personally I’m with Moose on this one and think the priority should be to introduce our own youngsters into the first team set up.

Would we take snodgrass back? Personally I would he's what we need a proper hard working wide man great left foot loved his time here and not getting much game time at Wet Spam could be a bargain price too. Wrong side of 30 but vital experience.

He’s got the right work ethic, plays with his heart on his sleeve, isn’t afraid to get stuck in, and like you said Moose has bags of experience. For me still got a few good seasons in him.

And doesn't mind getting his kit dirty either, not the quickest but very clever footballer exactly the kind of experienced signing we should of made at the start of the season.
