At last. Some fight and desire. I think we we can all admit it's probably too little too late but if we beat Everton, dare we dream?

Everton haven't been great and neither they or Arsenal have much to play for really so I wouldn't rule it out.
Who do we want out of Watford and West Ham? Do we hope for a draw so there are still 2 clubs to overtake or Watford so we have the all or nothing game? I think draw as either way we are looking at needing 9/ 10 points from the 12 and a point does nothing for either of them.
We were lucky with VAR for once and Trez found an end product that is consistently lacking. We were also lucky Hause getting injured in the warm up. Konsa in his natural position and Elmo at right back made a big difference.
Getting Jack back in that forward role so Hourihane could come back in was the right decision. All well and good saying Jack can't affect things out there but he creates more roaming up top than centrally where he's crowded out.

I think a West Ham win would suit us down to the ground, hopefully by the final day they have zero to play for. Agree, Everton looked terrible today, if we could sneak something there and West Ham win we have a great chance considering Watford's fixtures.

Hourihane and Elmo must start next game, they aren't world beaters but they always offer us a treat with this distribution and deliveries.

Also, lads how good is Luiz - He just gets better every game, I think Jack is gone regardless but if by some miracle we could stay up we have to keep him at all costs.

The performance today was much better but this was against a team in our part of the league.
The fixtures we have had since returning to football were unkind.

There are about 8 teams in the expected top section of the prem and then 12 teams in the hopeful section.

Since football came back, 5 games out of 7 played we knew even in a normal situation we would struggle. These 5 teams are in the top 7 of the prem.
If you go back to the last game before lockdown we have played div 1 of the prem.
Our season starts now.
Playing the teams we would expect to have a chance against.
We beat palace and that will give the team a boost.
Next are Everton and they ain't going too well so let's hope for a good result at the toffees.
Then we can look towards the end of the season. We need 9, or 10 pts to make a fist of it and if other results go our way we could/ should stay in the prem.
Its still a chance and its better than Norwich have got so a bumpy road ahead. Hold on, cross your fingers and fasten your seat belts.
Could the powers that be turn up the crowd volume to the real level for the players to hear the roar?
My wife won't stay in the room with me when AV are playing! She says I make more noise than a full Holte End.
What about your other half?
Do they stay with you or, sorry I have to go now. ?

A morale boosting and much needed win. On paper, Everton away looks like we could get something out of the game but just seen that they have only lost 3 games at Goodison all season.

BK we can always dream but I think like you said all a bit too late. I always say the teams that go down always have a poor goal difference. Norwich have proved that already, we are next worst then Bournemouth. Sadly I don't see it changing.

I think so SV, I'd love to see some fight over the next 3 games - Look, if we can beat Everton and West Ham beat Watford we have a genuine chance but when you are depending on favours it's always an uphill battle!

It isn’t always the teams with the worst goal difference that go down. The season 2017/ 18 Albion finished bottom of the league with a goal difference of -25, Huddersfield finished 16th with a goal difference of -30.

I think that Aston Villa will beat Everton, and that West Ham will beat Watford.

Mark, maybe not always but if you look at percentages poor goal difference usually means one thing. I pray for the miracle but honestly I can't see two worst teams than us if you look at the season overall. Destiny i'm afraid is not in our hands.

We have conceded 9 goals in 7 games since the restart and 5 of those games have been against top 7 teams.
If we had conceded at that rate all season we would have conceded 49 goals ( for 38 games ), the same number of goals Chelsea have conceded now with 3 games to go!
So the stats suggest we have tightened up considerably at the back, admittedly though our strike rate has gone down.
However for the 2 games we have played against teams outside of the top 7, we have taken 4 points and conceded just 1 goal.
We do have a chance of winning the final 3 games, I wouldn’t necessarily say Bournemouth, Watford and WHU are worse than us but I don’t think they’re any better either.
It could well go to the last game SV, don’t give up hope just yet 👍 UTV.
