I support Villa because my dad supported them, and he took me to VP.
I thought that is what happens with most fans.

My dad took me to Villa Park one Xmas when I was 9.
I am now 70 and have never supported any other side.

Mine is much less interesting, I had Liverpool pushed on me as a child but when I got into football Villa had a lot of Irish players (McGrath etc) so it was an easy decision. I might have won a few more trophies if I had accepted Liverpool but I can't imagine supporting another team :-) Up The Villa!

Lived in a pub in redditch growing up. Flitted between liverpool and spurs because of lineker then some bloke i can't remember with a glass eye took me to a villa game where i saw david platt for the first time needless to say i never looked back. Starting to understand why the bloke supported villa he only had one eye 😂.

Grew up in Redditch and old man is a Villa supporter so no brained. Didn't occur to me to support a team not local and growing up in the 90s meant I didn't really have to glory support as we were up there anyway.

I’d love to say I had a story like the ones outlined above but I just liked the name and my friends all supported Villa (i was only 5!) I went along with the crowd however once I went to the games I was hooked and have followed them ever since could never follow anyone else.

It doesn't matter why you care, just that you do.

Up until the age of 11, I lived quite close to Coventry and the old man used to take me to watch the Sky Blues and they were my team. That was the Willie Carr, Ernie Hunt era.
Anyway, then we moved to another village much further away from Cov and there was a bloke in the village who used to go to all the Villa home games. So I started going with him, got the Villa bug, and never looked back.
