Get in there early and try to get Martin Odegaard in, loan to buy, although he's a ledge, better than Jack at half of his price, if Man U come knockin' at £80M. Tammy would be my 1st choice No9 but I'd like us to go after someone like Lucas Alario, again would be half the price of Tammy, think it's Benrahma's destiny to play for Villa lol, Hayden from Newcastle for around £10M as the midfield general, had a great season and got 1 year left on his contract and still wants to move more south, him with McGinn and Luiz more advanced would tear it up. If Stones is available for £20M it's a no brainer, if I could have 1 more in it'd be Tavernier, would give us 2 forward thinking full backs that could work in in a 3-5-2 too so my 1st choice team if Jack were to go would be.

Odegaard has played for Heerenveen, Vittesse and Real Sociedad, or in equivalents to English clubs, Barnsley, Bolton or the Nose, if his price is £40M and we pay him what he wants, why wouldn’t he be joining? Tevez/ Mascherano to West Ham happened?

The FFP comment was good ok’ Brummie sarcasm, you saying Odergaard wouldn’t be coming to Villa came across to me as snobbery, why would someone who can’t get into Real Madrid’s 1st team but goes out on loan to lesser clubs than Villa for the past 3 seasons want to play for a Premier league team that could pay him what he wants? Everyone has a price, unless you’ve got inside information on where he’ll play next season, how can you say he wouldn’t come to Villa, or any player? If it’s the FFP thing, the scenario I painted was Odergaard on loan if Jack was to leave for £80M with a view to buy, for all you know Villa Park could be renamed the Apple Arena Microsoft Park for £1B next week, would that satisfy your FFP compliance rules?

If Villa Park is renamed something for £1B that money does not go to Aston Villa - as the club no longer own Villa Park. part of the downfall of the owners trying to fend off FFP I am afraid.
