Is this going to be our 1st choice 11.

Martinez

Cash Konsa Mings Targett

Grealish Luiz McGinn

Traore Watkins Raschica

That is some team, still worried defensively but that's a scary team for anyone to face, best form of defence is attack maybe 🤷🏼‍♂️

Wow, I would more than settle for that Ally and can be achieved within the 100 million budget.
The pace and trickery up front would be mind blowing.
This would give opposing teams something to worry about, which is in stark contrast to what we have given them up to now.
This in itself should take some of the pressure off our defense.
Fingers crossed then they can achieve these transfers 🤞🏻.

Exactly what i meant Mark, that isn't a solid defensive team but if we go for it and try to win games with the occaisonal heavier defeat = points on the board, would be exciting to watch, go a goal or 2 down, attack attack attack!

Great looking team, with trez to come off the bench for last 15 mins full of running, for the tougher games maybe drop a winger push jack up and stick nakamba in beside Doug,

The only issue I have with whatever combination we use up front is the way the wide men are deployed. There must be more support for the central striker (presumably Watkins) than we saw last term. The wingers need to cut in when appropriate. Equally, if Grealish is playing behind, he needs to be prepared to advance beyond the front man.

A front three of Rashica - Watkins - Traore/ King looks good offensively, but I worry we could be out-muscled in midfield. I am in the minority, but feel the team is better balanced with Grealish as one of the front three, even if that is not his preferred role.

McGinn will need to get back to his best to support Luiz and the defence, particularly with two forward thinking full backs in Cash and Targett. I still think we look potentially vulnerable defensively.

I see your point AJ but we can always adapt during games, if things aren’t going to plan. For example we could revert to Watkins and Traoré up top with Rashica dropping into the no. 10 position, evidently he is very effective in this roll. For the most part we were very rigid in the way we played last season. I think with the players we are talking about now, there will be a lot more scope for flexibility.

Think we will sign a new midfielder lads.

Morgan Sanson would be gettable and improve our MF massively.

Martinez

Cash Konsa Mings Targett

Sanson Luiz McGinn

Rashica Watkins Grealish

That would be a seriously good 11 with Traore, Wesley, Trez, Hourihane etc on the bench to impact the game.

Maybe the idea is to go back to how we started last season but with better players, see how things go for a few games and then shut up shop again if it's not working.
