Often a player is fouled in the box but they then also dive too. In these scenarios why aren't penalties given AND the diving attacking player at least booked for cheating? This would put an end to it. 21 pens in 25 games so far. Maddison and Vardy are dirty, cheating pricks and English football isn't what it used to be. Sorry to be negative but football has massively changed for the worse over the last few years. This season so far with var and diving and the handball rules is just a joke. I should be enjoying that Villa actually look decent but I have all these negatives hanging over me : (.

It sounds a great idea but it's another subjective decision. Sometimes a player will avoid risking injury from tangling of limbs or planting their foot too firmly in the ground. You are then judging a difference between cheating and caution.
Fitness regimes make tendons ticking time bombs. Players will avoid unnecessary strain where possible.

Your suggestion would lead to the same issues we are having with handball where cards are being thrown around even when nothing untoward has occurred.

There's a big and obvious difference between someone trying to land safely and someone blatently diving like they've been shot.
