Ashley Young to return to Villa Park, the deal said to be worth around £8million or £9million.

I would take him back as he would definatly add something to our team but as above said his wages would be too high so think this one is a no go. I just hope lambert has got somebody in mind now the defour link has crumbled. we need a decent midfielder who can pick a pass rather than the usual lob from defence to benteke (other than 45 mins against liverpool)

I'd take him back tomorrow. Ashley Young providing crosses/free kicks/corners to Benteke instead of Albrighton/Tonev/Wiemann/Westwood etc etc. Absolute no brainer. Having said that, it will never happen due to his wages. I also seriously doubt we have £9m to spend, and even if we do, it won't be spent on someone who will be 29 at the start of next season, with limited/no resale value.

He can't take a free kick or a corner and his deliveries are awful. Everyone says he his good at them things. Just watch his corners next time he plays, front post every time, can't get it above the first man. And his free kicks go in the second stand every time

Young himself would never agree to come back to Villa for two basic reasons.
One, he left us to supposedly better himself so he would see it as a failure on his part and two, he knows what sort of a reception he would get from the crowd.
This move will NEVER take place.
