Is Gil injured? TS was speaking highly of him in Portugal, and he doesn't seem to have played in pre-season since.

He took a knock in the Swindon game a few weeks ago, hopefully he'll be fit for the start of the season.

Sherwood said when he came in he had to play a style of football that was effective and could keep us in the league I.E. Very much route one stuff. He didn't have time to mould them to play his way, however I presume now he has Gil is his ideal player!
