Well it looks like both Moyes and Pearson are going to snub Villa so what about Di Matteo or a manager those contract runs out after Euros eg Hodgson ( if he'll come) or Michael O'Neill? I'd still prefer Moyes so let's hope Everton win the rest of their games so Martinez doesn't get sacked and Celtic go for Steve Clarke or Evans.

Where has it been confirmed that a manager has snubbed us? Come on guys, there are enough real problems for the club and us fans to worry about without worrying about unsubstantiated nonsense from people ‘in the know’.

The truth is Villa are playing their cards very close to their chest on all fronts and anyone that claims to be ‘in the know’ should either reference a direct source or admit that they are simply reading what everyone else on hear is reading and making up the bits in between in weird attempt at boosting their own self-worth.

Yes, it sounds like there is movement on a takeover but no, none of us know if, when and who it will be. If people like ‘Kingvilla’ think they do, then prove us all wrong and provide specifics. These are complicated and sensitive processes that take time and are kept private right up until the transaction is made legal. Any owner we’d want will manage it that way until they are ready and able to speak on behalf of the club. It’s unlikely any manager would want to join if a change in ownership is on the cards so let’s not jump to conclusions. which is what most reports you will read over the next few days/ weeks will be doing.

In short, it sounds positive and we all hope we get a new owner who will take us forward, but just because we want it to be true it doesn’t mean it is. We’ve had many false dawns before so let’s just keep our fingers crossed and not sh! t-the-bed because something hasn’t happened by Tuesday.

This isn't meant as a personal attack kingvilla, it's just that it's worrying how a few snippets from half-baked reports and people filling in the blanks somehow becomes fact on forums like these.

I'm not questioning your motives but, to be fair, from what i've read you seem to write a lot without actually saying anything that hasn't already been reported. I've noticed a few people have called you out on that and you hinting at being 'in the know', but until you back it up with something accurate and reliable, you may as well just post a picture of a giant turd for all the good it does.

Ha! I'd love Kingvilla to be right to be fair and then at least we'd have a much needed glimmer of hope to focus on!
Just wish everyone would stop whipping each other into a frenzy and then getting depressed that it hasn't happened over night.
