I don’t think so Dave, I do agree he could be a good addition in midfield! Unfortunately smith doesn’t like players playing out of there normal positions.

81, I have no doubt that Matty Cash will play in a midfield role for us at some point.
Temporary or not, I would of thought that is why he has been recruited.
He played Kortney Hause at left back.

I would want to keep Guilbert and move on Elmo. The Egyptian is in the final year of his deal, so why jeopardise forward planning by selling off the Frenchman, only to seek another right back next summer as cover for Cash.

As Dave rightly suggests, Cash could very well play further forward at different stages.
