I see the rumours around Mario Hermoso are strengthening, a left sided player who can play either as a centre back or left back and is available on a free sounded like a sensible bit of business to me, as I thought signing him and sending Lenglet back to Barcelona would save a chunk in terms of wages as Lenglet is on a contract worth circa £7 million per year. Imagine my surprise when I looked that last year Hermoso was on a contract worth £36, 000 a week, however this year his salary has jumped to a whopping £133, 000 which came as a real surprise as I didn't think La Liga was noted as paying big money with the exception of Barcelona and Real Madrid. So if we do pursue a deal we aren't going to be reducing the wage bill significantly.

He’s not getting any younger though, am I mixing him up or is he 31? If he comes in I wonder will that mean mings is on his bike?

Talks of Tim going to Ajax for 15 million, wouldn’t be bad business imo, he has talent but still pretty raw.
