Just read a ridiculous article about Martinez being sold to Juve for 5 million. Where do they get this rubbish?

Whackattack

1.) 08 Jun 2026 09:39:31
In other news, Tonali, Wharton and Anderson price tags are all 100 million, but Rogers apparently is 80 million...
Wharton, 1 goal, 5 assists.
Tonali, 1 goal, 5 assists.
Anderson, 4 goals, 5 assists.
Rogers, 13 goals, 11 assists.
Figure that one out.

2.) 08 Jun 2026 12:23:43
I know its a joke. Rodgers wont go for anything less than 110mil mil if he goes, that is. Im let listening to the press media, they talk alot of bs.

3.) 08 Jun 2026 18:18:32
The whole article on Martinez is rubbish. The salary he is supposedly on £230k is wrong, and although we do have certain SCR issues, by returning Sancho, Elliott, and Luiz we save circa £350k a week, and if the likes of Mings, Digne, Guessand, and Bailey leave, we will save a further £300-400k a week, so it's not the doom and gloom that certain media outlets are peddling.

4.) 08 Jun 2026 20:54:46
The SCR thing... reports Emi is on £230K & that's why we're ok with letting him go. Then we make a bid for Rashford who is on even more money, clown world. ?

UTV.

5.) 08 Jun 2026 22:17:56
Apparently Rashford has lowered his wage demands, and if we lose our 3 loan players that would more than cover Rashford's wage demands.

6.) 09 Jun 2026 00:50:48
Lotm, personally I don’t want to see Digne leave. Maatsen is a liability defensively, and we’re much weaker without him imo. The others I’m fine with leaving. As for Rashford, I think there’s younger players out there just as good as him. We qualified for the Champions League in 2 of the past 3 years, missing out the year that he was here.

On paper we had a weaker squad this year, but we got our business done, so I’m fine with signing him or not signing him. I don’t think he’s going to make or break us. We need younger players with resale value in my opinion.

7.) 09 Jun 2026 10:33:03
I like Rashford, he is a good player, proven in the Premiership, and what's more Emery can get a tune out of him. If, as reported, he is willing to take a significant drop in salary and is available at circa £25 million, I would take him, particularly as players like Rowe and other wingers we are being linked with are only available at £35 million plus and none of those have shown they can cut it in the PL.

03 Jun 2026 00:10:13
Karin Adeyemi now there’s a player I’d snap up asap, you know the drill with these rumours but apparently we’re monitoring his situation.

Whackattack

1.) 04 Jun 2026 00:32:44
Would be an amazing signing if we got him whack. Only thing is hes on 100thou a week, mate. I also see Unai wants only rumours thou, a cb, rb, 2 cms, 2 winger, and striker.

03 May 2026 20:54:40
If we finish in Champions League places and win the Europa League I hate Emery and still hope he leaves in the summer. Done with his tactics and boring football. We played entertaining football a handful of times this year and it’s not good enough. Champions League you're having a laugh.

Whackattack

1.) 03 May 2026 22:10:32
Well, if he does leave, let's review where we are at the end of next season, shall we. I do wonder whether we deserve an elite manager tbh.

2.) 04 May 2026 01:38:54
Elite managers don’t roll over like he did today. Elite managers don’t waste 100 million on the likes of Guessand, Maatsen, Malen, Abraham. Any elite manager I can think of would have changed it after 30 mins today.
The football we are playing most weeks is pure tripe, and if Spurs and Chelsea weren’t so bad we wouldn’t have a sniff of the Champions League. Same last year and the year before, United and Spurs so bad. I see people online trying to say he threw the game so Forrest would have to go full strength tomorrow, but I don’t believe it for a minute.

If he did, why would he risk Martinez with his injury problems this season, or Youri, or Cash, or Rogers? He thought we could defend a 0-0 and sneak a goal, like he’s been trying to do all season. Our football has gone down the toilet. 1 of the worst teams in the league to watch. We are a disgrace and only in the position we are because other teams are as bad as us.

3.) 04 May 2026 08:59:53
Google elite football managers and see whose name appears on the list.

4.) 04 May 2026 09:34:31
Whack, Malen wasn't a waste of money. Selling him was a huge mistake. Check his stats.
As for the rest, pathetic bunch of strikers.
LotM, you cannot seriously defend what we've seen over the last 3 games.

5.) 04 May 2026 10:25:24
I accept fully our performances over the last month or so have been poor, but they were at the start of the season and we then went on that fantastic run. Who's to say we won't again? So, throwing arguably the most talented coach we have had in the modern era under a bus is just plain nuts. If you look at the guy's record in the round, he took a club who were flirting with relegation to one that has got to a European semi final twice, as well as the quarter final of the Champions League, that against the backdrop of PSR restrictions.

He has improved every player in the squad, and this season he has had to deal with a centre forward whose performances have dipped, and an injury list that took out our first choice midfield for a couple of months. Unai has plenty of credit in the bank in my view.

6.) 04 May 2026 12:08:00
Unai used to be elite but isnt no more. He won a trophy in 9years. If we dont win Europa, I hope he steps dwn or owners decide to get a manager that can take us further and play attacking football, and that can find gems in the transfer window. The money Unai has had, his signings havent been great. Maatsen not guessand awfull. Tammy, average. Allyson hardly played. Pau Torres is decent CB. Diaby was hit n miss. Malen is good player, deserved more starts but was better wide.

Nedelcovic never got given a chance, same with Barrencha. Illing Jnr hasnt been given a chance aswell. Rodgers was a good signing and yt, and Id say Pau aswell. You look at the age of our squad aswell, future isnt bright. Unai cant nurture young talent, he only likes to sign players for the now mainly. Im not having it that none of our players from Academy, Reserves or U18s rnt good enough. Other managers in the league play there youth, we used to but dont no more. Its so annoying.

7.) 04 May 2026 12:36:50
He won Europa in 21-22, Jonny, but I do agree with a good bit of what you said. Yesterday was embarrassing. I thought the Wolves game was a new low, but this one takes the biscuit.
Hoddle was raving about how good Spurs played, but they didn't really. They started well, but they didn't create chance after chance for the whole game. Even if we had made more changes after 60 mins we'd of gotten more goals. Their keeper is pants, first shot on target was a goal.

The only thing that game yesterday did was breed confidence into a team we should be relegating and getting rid of them as competition for Europe and for signings. It also drained the confidence out of our guys, and it has split the supporters. Paying fans deserved more than that. Obviously, I watched it on tv, and you could see nothing but anger and disappointment on the faces of anyone the camera focused on.

Seen on sky sports app today that Brighton are monitoring Bogarde as a replacement for baleba, would be a shame to lose him but if it meant not selling any first team stars for psr at the end of the season it wouldn't be to bad for the immediate future, that said I had seen him as a future replacement for kamara whenever he leaves, retires or whatever.

what's everyone's thoughts?
Rather keep him for the future?
Sell him?
If so how much?
Take into consideration that Brighton want 100 million for Baleba.

Whackattack

1.) 05 Dec 2025 15:45:36
I’d keep him, apart from the fee they were suggesting being low (£25 million) his salary costs aren’t that high and his ability to play several positions are a plus. Having said the fee for Bogarde is too low that’s in the context of the £100 million Brighton want for Baleba.

He is a decent player but £100 million never, if he is worth £100 million what price Rogers?

That guy Enzo we got from juve is ripping it up on loan, reports are describing him as 1 of the best CM in Europe right now, bad news for us as reports state he's only a couple of appearances away from a permanent move for what's described as peanuts, looks like we might have lost out with him, the signs we there that he had quality but instead we paid 50 million for Onana, these are the things putting us under financial pressure, I hope the new guy has a good eye for talent and I hope these young players get game time or we are just wasting our time.

Obviously winning the Europa League was the high point for everyone, but excluding that what was everyone’s highest and lowest points in the season? Mine are as follows..
Highest:
1. Buendia scoring the last minute winner v Arsenal
2. Smashing Liverpool at VP
3. I couldn’t decide between our first PL win of the season v Fulham or going to City on the last day with practically a hungover B team and dominating them all second half and spoiling the Pep parade..
Lowest:
1.

Kamara’s injury
2. The Spurs game at VP, I was so angry after that one. A. Because we played so badly, everyone including Emery looked disinterested and zero effort was made to get a result and B. Because we had the chance to help relegate them and get rid of them as completion in the PL and I wanted revenge on Paulinha for Kamara and trying to do the same to Roger’s..
3. Probably losing to Wolves when they had only won 1 game all season..

Interested to hear everyone else’s..

1.) 06 Jun 2026 10:52:33
Low point for me, losing our 3 midfielders; that's why we had a bad slump when we were flying and in the mix at the top 3.

2.) 06 Jun 2026 11:02:52
Completely agree Whackie, in particular with the Paulina 1, & at the end causing the handbags we copped a fine for, when he should have already been sent off.

UTV.

3.) 07 Jun 2026 13:03:53
My No. 1 low is made up of several lows really.
1 point from Brentford, Everton, Spurs and Leeds at home.
Absolutely terrible in isolation.
But we qualified for UCL by finishing 4th and won a major trophy, so those lows are massively countered by that.

If you have the Sky Sports scores app, go to “my team” and there’s a video in there of how the table evolved over the 38 games, it runs quiet quickly so u need to keep pausing it but it’s really quiet amazing how far behind we were at the start.. Match day 12 we moved into the Champions League positions and stayed there for the following 26 weeks, we completely deserved Champions League for that alone in my opinion.. Early on we were 12 points behind Liverpool, Chelsea Liverpool Spurs all going strong then you see that winning run take shape and all of a sudden we are a point behind City and 3 behind Arsenal..

Then come the injuries but we hung in there having built up a buffer, results were up and down after that but a stellar finish gave us an amazing season, but…. Oh what could of being had we not had those 3 injuries at the same time, if we hadn’t had to sell Ramsey, if we’d had a bit more wiggle room to bring in another player or two last summer or even spent more wisely and not ended up wasting 30 million on guesssnd only to loan him out in January.. Anyways it was a truly amazing season and fingers crossed for another one next season.. That video I mentioned is well worth a look if you have the app..

NVR but I see Harry Maguire’s mammy having a tantrum on social media over him not being picked for the World Cup squad, a bit embarrassing and even before the official squad announcement.
Just more proof that there are no levels some of those United players will stoop too in order to win or feather their own nest. It’d be one thing if he was a young player who had a terrific season and was being left out but he’s close to retirement, had a half decent career, done his fair share of cheating every season, can’t behave himself abroad, had his chance and failed quiet a few times.

I don’t see the controversy to be honest. Gave me a right giggle this morning.

Option B for me, Lotm. Sell a few fringe players and reinvest the cash into some younger players our scouting department have been working on. We have at least a dozen players who could be sold. Keep Rogers, build around him. The press make so much about our financial restraints that clubs will chance their arm, hoping we are stuck.

We have Elliot Luiz and Sancho's wages off the books now, so as it stands we are well within budget on psr. Selling Rogers for big money won't solve all the problems, because it would only be one wage gone off the books.

All B.S. I'd imagine, it's not even journo's writing the headlines anymore. It's all AI rubbish. We hold all the cards, he's under contract till 2031. If a deal happens, it's going to be a mega one, I reckon. If Arsenal want to be big boys, they're going to have to pay big boy prices.

All these massive bids can only help us, in either keeping Rodgers or getting top dollar.
Anderson has achieved very little yet compared to Rodgers: PFA Young Player of the Year, 25+ goal involvements in the last few seasons, Europa League winner and Player of the Tournament, playing in Europe every year.
