Sorry Charmed I disagree, Kodjia has a lot to offer and very talented, will get slatted for this but I think he has more about him than Benteke.

Kodjia looks like a Thiery Henry type of striker, Benteke was Garry Thomson with a ruthless streak, on the fence tbh

Well Thiery Henry had more about him than Gary Thompson did surely.
Another thing, Benteke has a moody streak in him, not seen that yet in Kodjia.

Kodja definitely prem standard, had his worst game so far vs burton and we still won. Don't think I've seen a player in a villa shirt get tight to a defender and turn them the way he does, leaving the defender looking helpless. Sometimes he is too selfish but it's hard as a striker because you have to be to a certain extent it's just decision making in key areas, McCormack would have about 5 more goals by now had kodja passed in a few situations, but he backs himself and you have to rate that. As for benteke, I'm sorry but if you had to pick and you said kodja, you either have short term memory loss or really dislike him for leaving. He was head and shoulders above everyone around him at Villa and could do everything, big strong quick, finesse, guile. Kept us up for 3 years and did it in style, look at some of his goals, vs baggies, vs Norwich, vs Liverpool and when he picked the ball up half way line and ran at Crystal Palace defence solo and buried it.

Garry Thompson was a legend, one of us, to me personally Benteke being compared to him is a compliment to Benteke, was comparing him and Kodjia to players they were similar to, Kodjia has only played half a season for us so far but looks the business, imo, Carew trumps them all though as a complete No9

I'd say Carew > Benteke > Kodja, from recent years. Says more that we've only really had 3 good strikers in what 6/ 7 years. I suppose you could say Bent was decent but he faded.

One thing that never happened that would have been amazing, Carew and Angel up top, Downing and Young on the wings, I'd say we woulda got 60+ goals out of that combo
