Boro want 10 mill for rhodes, so we offer 6 mill up front and 4 mill in add ons over a year to 18 months, and surprise surprise they bin us off. i don't get it, where's the pot of gold we have to spend?

And we sold a big target man with no pace and not much control or will to tackle back, and bid on a big target man with no pace and slightly better control, who doesn't tackle back either?

looks like mccormack is dust so we'll have kodgia up front playing with pace, alongside rhodes (in theory).

Ffp will stop the Dr spending big again, we need to get rid of ayew, mcorkmack to raise funds.

Class of 82 it's all about fair play rules meaning we need to get rid of one or two. The Dr has money but hands could be tied to a certain level. One or two loans would help

Can someone please clarify how much we are allowed to spend because of FFP? Not how much we have to spend, there's got to be a figure taking into account what we've spent in the summer, all I hear is the rules have been relaxed, that's still not a figure though is it?

From the information available we can spend 83mil ally, I did write a reply to this earlier but it may have been too strong worded, as you can see we are some way off the 83mil mark but The Dr seems to have told Mainbob he's struggling because of FFP, hmmmm.

So without going too much into it, we roughly spent £50M in the summer, £33M left to spend not taking into account any sales, should be able to buy promotion lol? Thanks Chris, 1st time someone's put a figure on it 👍🏻

Yea that's what I had it at ally, googled it and said something about if this was the first year we'd been relegated and we had been in the prem the season before that then 83, then went down in stages think next year it would be 53 and year after 33. Not 100% about the other two figures but our category was definitely 83. The eds may know more but that's what the figure was from the EFL explanation.

So worst case scenario if we don't go up this season, have £53M to throw at it next season? and certain players will want to leave so more funds would be available too on top of that £53M.

You know what fellas, was talking about this today at work, though not ideal, another season in the Championship wouldn't be too bad imo, I don't go to B6 to see other teams that are in the Prem, I go to see Villa and to see them win against whoever?

We don't really know the finances of the club, the rules state we can make a loss of 83mill, so we still don't know the actual amount we can spend
