Is it just me or what, every article I read at the moment is stating that we are one of the favourites to be relegated, and that we have had the spine of our team ripped out, they also state that Benteke, Delph, and Vlaar are great players and will take a great deal of replacing.
These players are/were part of our past and should be forgotten, after all we have been in a relegation scrap for three years with them on board, says a lot doe`s it not ???
I think we are going in a completely different direction under Timmy boy with a squad capable of playing several formations with more than one plan of execution in place.
I would be more than happy with a mid table finish this year, add more quality if needed and progress from there.
It make me laugh how all these pundits and so called experts make predictions and fall flat on their face, Rodney Marsh the Prize Pr-t has labled us a bottom six side for the foreseeable future, If I could have a wager with him now I would, name your price Mr Marsh.

feel like benteke will be a big miss but vlaar and delph were both inconsistent. delph was hailed as a great player at villa but let's be fair if you look at his statistics he was kind of over- hyped in regards to his quality. he had a very good engine but so has gueye and from what I've seen he seems more confident and effective with the ball. the spine has been ripped out but we finished 17th last year so really a drastic change was needed

Dude. Let Rodney marsh talk all he likes. End of the day he is a fat sixty year old man living on the south coast of Spain asking himself why he never earned the money that footballers ear Corday, as such he needs a few quid and a media presence. Far from being the most intelligent or erudite individual he resorts to 'daily mail isms' to get hear. It's his living. Pays for his wife's Botox and his Stella while he drinks himself to death in the costas. Let's chill out.

But to be fair we have a way to go to prove we are not a bottom eight club, especially without benteke😰

I'm sure quite a few of them are based off the odds some betting company came up with saying that 17th place finishers go down 42% of the time the next season. Its total rubbish as it doesn't take into account anything about the clubs at all. The only problem we will have is replacing Benteke, and we are being linked with plenty of strikers. Kozak is playing very well in pre-season too - he looks hungry and I think that will play well with Sherwood.

To be honest I don`t think we will have any problems replacing Benteke at all.
He`s gone, and I have moved on already, I posted last week that we would get Gestede and up to now that is looking good to go.
Players come and go, and I think overall as a player Gestede will contribute more to the side than Benteke did, Gestede is very much a team player, target man, runner, Hold up player, and striker and does not sulk.
Genk are no worse off now than they were when Benteke played for them, don`t get me wrong I did like Tekkers, but he is not irreplaceable trust me,
