Hi Lads,

Can I ask some, slight off topic advise please?

I'm coming over from Ireland to the Villa Birmingham game in February (CANT BLOODY WAIT) and I'm wondering if I could get some advice please?

What is the best way to get to the stadium? I'm staying in Jurys on Broad Street, would I be best to hope on a train or perhaps get a taxi?

Also, where is the best place to go before the match for a few drinks? Should I make my way towards the stadium or are there local bars?

Thanks very much for any advice.

Can't wait for the match, hopefully we will have a near fit squad and a few solid additions by then as well :-)

Taxi is prob the best will be cheap and get you straight there mate. And as for a drink the holte suite will be open you need a season ticket but I can get you in if you fancy meeting up with a few beer gut lads singing villa songs. UTV Thanx for your support mate.

You should probably get a taxi straight to the ground mate, town will be full of blue noses. Go the Tavern or the Social, always rammed, good atmosphere, Â£3 in but if you go in before the game you get let in after when everywhere is rammed and turning people away. After the game go back and then taxi back to town later on.

Lads thanks a million for the feedback - First time at Villa Park and cannot wait! Seems like there are a few options closer to the ground which will allow me to soak up the atmosphere! I'll hop a taxi so and get away from the blue noses in town! Out to the rest of the Villa crew, lads this is going to be great! Thanks again!

Good shout chris, me and my son always go to the social or tavern, great atmosphere in both.
Probably trod on your foot a couple of times in the past chris.

must be a good father son thing to do - I normally go with my old man, usually the Tavern now, for the pork roll more than anythingðŸ˜‚ should be in there before blues, normally a few of us, always more when the blues are in town. Last year was brilliant, didnâ€™t leave there till late after the game, would love to smash them but a flabby winner made the day last time.
