If we want someone with energy and a first-hand extensive knowledge of the top flight game, we could do worse than consider Pirlo. Averaged 2.15 goals per game with Juventus and won the Italian Cup and Italian Super Cup. Only downside is that he hasn't been in management that long

An attack minded manager who has managed ego's is what's required.
First would be Valverde.
Then I'd like to see a
Lamps and JT partnership.
Possibly someone like Villas-Boas.
Long shots Shevchenko, Klinsman, Koeman.

All the best to Dean Smith, it’s not a nice thing to happen but we’ve seen it all before . Ron Saunders etc . Being a fan for nigh on 58 years, I’ve watched big names not do anything, confident so-so managers fall flat on there faces . Dean Smith came in and revolutionised the club from top to bottom, within the confines of his remit ( suggesting signings,not his) finding the talent that we now see coming through . All built on the Brentford model and you can’t argue with that, finding the talent that’s hungry and willing to bust a gut ( unlike a few in the first team )thank you Boss (Dean) . Now all these names thrown about, when there one of our own fully qualified up to international level . Learned under the likes of Martin O Neil . A Captain of the team, a full international. A love for the club, just like our love for him . Come on now the club have overlooked him for far to long,Stiliyan Petrov . Has the respect of fans the club, and most of all, the players .
