Rogers gone for 117m.
1.) 18 Jul 2026 20:42:49
I'm excited to see what our team will look like. Some real quality coming in, with lots of potential to get better. Manzambi looks a better player than Morgan looked when we bought him, and it didn't take Emery too long to get him to the top of his game.
Youri and Digne are bigger losses in my book. Gomes looks good. The boys on the Wolves page think we got a bargain. I think he buys a winger next, either Summerville or Rowe. LB and RB and another CM are also needed. We need to go to SA and find a striker prospect, imo.
2.) 18 Jul 2026 22:31:33
The 2 strikers that have caught my eye are Franculino Dju from the Danish league & 'Flaco' Lopez, an Argentinian playing in Brazil & banging them in. The dream striker would've been Goncalo Ramos, who went from PSG to Milan.
He's an assassin of a No9. He was 'cheap' at £60M for the player he is. Still think Nicolas Jackson might happen, though should Ollie go.
UTV.
3.) 19 Jul 2026 17:26:59
Jackson at 25 yrs, not for me. He hasn't really produced anywhere he went. Younger with potential is the way forward. We have experience with Ollie and Tammy, gotta keep finding those gems. We need a big profit sale like Roger's or Duran every 2 years, so they have no choice but to reinvest, and attacking players is where the money is.
22 Mar 2026 17:07:39
A superb first half should have had more than one. Second half solid, I thought Ollie got his mojo back, Digne had a superb game, great to have SJM and Tielemans back. I have to question Emery regarding Bailey, he obviously sees things that most of us can't. Hopefully this will kickstart our resurgence.
1.) 22 Mar 2026 17:33:51
Scotty, are you alright? I'm really worried, only kicking Bailey? Bloody hell. Get yourself down the Dr's for a check up.
19 Mar 2026 20:37:24
I am in a bar in Tenerife that has had the Villa game and Forrest on two TVs next to each other, one game exciting teams trying to score and one team playing slow deliberate football. Guess which one.
We are such a boring lacklustre watch. We are playing a weak second rate team and nothing is changing slow tempo without a clue how to attack. Glad I have restaurant booked for 9 o'clock.
1.) 19 Mar 2026 22:43:54
Have a good holiday, Scotty, don't let Villa ruin it, mate. lol.
2.) 20 Mar 2026 14:39:36
Jonny, give your head a wobble, and take a day off. We won, we are in the Quarter finals. UTV.

Apparently Mings was one of our best players and his aerial height was vital. Obviously injuries aren't helping but our form is not good, both Man U and Chelsea are looking as they will catch us sooner than later. We need to deal with what we have and get on with it.
Wednesday is vital we stop the rot or Europe could become a problem. I see Bailey was woeful and gave the ball away far to often, obviously got to give him time but he was singled out in the press as our worst player, appreciate he came off the bench but hope we didn't get Bailey MK2.
06 Feb 2026 22:43:06
Tomorrow is the time to reverse the disappointing performances of late, Ollie is apparently fit and starts, Onana is reportedly ok as well, so we need to show the teams around us that we are not easy to play against and that's definitely not the case.
I have a ticket for tomorrow's game and off up the A34 in the morning, I'm hoping for something positive and a strong performance, another defeat would show our competing teams that we are not up for the fight.
1.) 07 Feb 2026 13:29:41
Good post scotty I have to agree, time to roll up our sleeves. on the plus side Bournemouth at home will come at us so hopefully leave some space to get in behind them

Anyone going to Walsall tonight, just wondering if you can pay on the gate?
25 Jul 2026 11:38:44
So it's possible we kick off the first game without Rogers, Tielemans, Watkins, Konsa, Onana, Martinez, Bogarde. Yes, we have some incomings; however, no team can possibly be without the number of established players and not be at our previous best.
I hear In Emery we trust; however, he is a great coach. Unfortunately, he is not a magician. The early games will give us an idea if we are going to be competitive, hopefully we are.
1.) 25 Jul 2026 15:33:06
It took us 5 games with those same players to get 2 points & 1 goal scored start of last season, Scotty.
UTV.
2.) 25 Jul 2026 20:12:22
Just bought the Porto game twice and can't access the stream! What an absolute shambles!
3.) 25 Jul 2026 20:42:56
It's on Premier Sports 2. I've got it on now.
21 Jul 2026 17:15:08
Abraham, Garnacho, Bailey Guessand should be ok for another Champions League attacking force.
1.) 21 Jul 2026 18:50:09
Hopefully they are all playing for different teams.
If that's what we are going to have, it's going to be a long season.
19 Jul 2026 13:11:15
How much are we going save in wages without Tielemans, Rogers, Digne, Sancho, Elliot, Bailey? It surely gives us room for a couple of higher paid real class players. Should be an interesting start to the new season with a different looking Stadium and a reduced capacity.
Can't wait, I'm off to Salzburg first so we should get to see our new squad in action against real quality.
1.) 19 Jul 2026 16:58:07
The reason we are doing what we are doing, Scott, is to lower the wage bill so we comply with SCR. We can give new players a bigger signing on fee, but with lower wages, I'm led to believe we have a lot of wiggle room now, so expect at least another 4-5 signings in the region of 25-60 million.
2.) 19 Jul 2026 19:19:29
For me, if we could land Rashford, Ferran Torres, and an out and out centre forward, Thiago at Brentford would be my choice, but I think he is probably out of our price range, and I think Jackson is probably more realistic.
I think it's a decent window, particularly if we could add a couple of loan signings as well. The key thing will be to get the signings in early, so Unai has time to work with the squad before the season starts.
18 Jul 2026 19:26:17
Read that Torres wants out on a free at the end of his contract, id sell him now and get a proper central defender with pace and heading ability, he wants to go back to Spain, let him go now whilst we can get something for him.
It's rumoured that Konsa is on the move, so we need two central defenders, hope we buy quality with pace.
15 Jan 2026 18:00:34
Dave it won't be the first mistake we have made recently
12 Aug 2024 16:33:45
With your there as well LOTM,
04 Jan 2023 16:08:37
Pity England wasn't a full time gig, Maguire would be in permanently. Man U defence with Maguire at the heart have been poor for a while, why would want a slow centre back.
27 May 2022 11:10:46
Its pretty much ball park what i thought, i think Elghazi will struggle to get anywhere near 10 i also think with ings wages, teams likely to want him will want to pay around 10 so he can maintain his wages.Ings still has time to run on his contract so he may want to sit tight, we would have to drop our valuation to get his wages off the books.
26 May 2022 19:49:24
Whack,Loti we are up to 15,how much do you think this lot would fetch?
13 Jul 2026 23:25:00
All the names bandied about that are potentially on the move, don't hear anything about Bailey. ?
13 Jul 2026 15:20:36
Onana out, Tielemans going, fragile Kamara. Look what happened when these were out; we were in the bottom three in terms of form. Let's hope those at the top know what they are doing. If Tielemans is a mercenary, he is not going to be very welcome again at VP. Yes, that football, but it doesn't sit well with me. Is Rogers next?
18 Jun 2026 14:09:19
Congo DR keeper looked good.
02 Jun 2026 11:25:16
Agree, Jonny. However, look at Lindelof. Experience is still an invaluable commodity if the quality is there.
25 May 2026 11:17:16
Dave, I really can't help myself where Bailey is concerned, he is simply hopeless in all aspects of his game. I think Emery genuinely feels sorry for him, and tries to get his mojo back, unfortunately he is a lost cause.
World Cup to look forward to now for most of us (Whack excluded). I have a feeling Ollie will do well, his recent form has to give him the confidence. His second goal yesterday was brilliant. He had been missing these for some while.
