I think that might be the best, worst, craziest game I’ve ever witnessed at Villa Park.
3-1 up, cruising, absolutely cruising. 4 minutes left. In the blink of an eye, game gone.
Sunderland could and should have won it!!
We should have had it wrapped up in the second half long before that.


Cannot believe we won that in the end.
So pleased for Tammy. That should do wonders for him.
Oh my days.
I’ve got a 2 hour drive but I’m in no fit state to get behind the wheel yet.

Hi Trinity, I remember a worse one, not sure what year. Half-time 3-0 to the Villa, and full-time it was 4-3 to Hull City. Age has got the better of my memory, but I still remember that game.

I do remember us being 4-1 up against Leicester with 13 minutes left, and Mark Draper turned the game around and ended up drawing 4-4.
Off the back of that, we signed Draper that summer.

Hi Trinity, I think it was, but I must admit with age it might not have been. I worked on the turnstiles at the time, and the Witton End was still there, so a long time ago, and when you get to 73, it's hard to remember to open your flies when you want a pee.


I do remember that I got off the stiles just after half-time. We were 3 up, but at 90 minutes it was 4-3 and a loss.
